Government introduces 'MeroKitta' , here's what you need to know.

To facilitate the realty sector and Nepal Government has launched Nepal Land Information System (NELIS) and 'Merokitta' on Thursday. 

NELIS is an online central server where land details from across the country are to be stored. 

MeroKitta is an online platform, where you can submit land revenue details and print a hard copy of your plot of land.

You can access the platform by logging on to merokitta.dos.gov.np.

What is MeroKitta?

 

MeroKitta is a web application that provides some of the services that you get from the Survey Department without having to physically visit the offices.

Services available are:
> Print land maps
> Plotter register print
> Fieldbook print
> Field drawing request

 

What do you need to sign up?

> Property ownership document (Lalpurja)
> Citizenship certificate (Nagarikta)

 

How do ordinary users operate the service?

> Submit online application in the prescribed format for service.
> After the application is submitted, OTP is sent to your mobile through SMS.
> You will receive an SMS for the revenue amount to be paid for the services
> Revenue can be paid through  https://merokitta.dos.gov.np using mobile number and OTP through electronic means available in the system
> After payment is submitted the offices will upload a pdf copy of the map and SMS it to your mobile.
> The map has to be downloaded within a week

 

How to start a corporate account?

> An application has to be submitted as per Article 5 of the Directive on Provision of Services through Digital System from Survey Offices-2077.

 

How to troubleshoot?

> If you are facing any problems in the system, you can call the department to request for solution.

 

How to print from MeroKitta?

> You can print the pdf file through any standard pdf viewer by giving it 100% in Custom Scale. 

 

The department has stated that the introduction of the digital system will help reduce the spreading of Coronavirus infection. 

The use of such technology will make the service faster, more efficient, and economical as well as transparent and there will be good governance in the land administration.

Nepal Government will provide a capital grant upto Rs 5 million to Startups

"The Government of Nepal has invited proposals for the purpose of providing capital grants for startups (innovation) through the National Planning Commission."

The Government of Nepal has invited proposals for the purpose of providing capital grants for startups (innovation) through the National Planning Commission. Through the information published today, the commission has asked for proposals through the website.

As provided in the Innovative Initial Capital Grant Procedure 2076 and the Innovative Initial Capital Grant Criteria 2077, a proposal has been invited to provide a grant of Rs. 500,000 to Rs. 5 million to the inventors, entrepreneurs, businessmen, individuals, or organizations with the latest knowledge, skills and abilities.

A notice has been issued to prepare the proposal in the format mentioned in the working procedures and criteria and send it to the office of the National Planning Commission within 30 days. To submit an offer, you need to register in the online system, create a username and password and log in. For this, the National Planning Commission has called for submitting the form through this website.

How to submit a proposal?

You have to go to the website provided by the National Planning Commission and first register by putting your name and email. Verification will come in the email kept while registering, you can click on that link and login with the email and password placed at the beginning. Then the application form will be available. It can be explained by clicking on the button to save your idea, details of what you are trying to do, all the information about the investment. After this, the commission will start the assessment from the submitted details.

Nepal Government lifts the restriction on importing vehicles costing more than $50000

"The government published a gazette that mentioned the news about lifting the restriction for importing vehicles that cost more than $ 50,000."

Due to the lockdown caused by the Covid-19 pandemic last year, the Nepal government had restricted the import of several items.

Recently the restriction for importing vehicles that cost more than $ 50,000 has been lifted.

The government published a gazette that mentioned the news about lifting the restriction for importing vehicles that cost more than $ 50,000.

The stipulation was removed after one year period.

 

The government has announced it will open the import of vehicles worth more than $50,000 for the official and personal use of foreign diplomats, diplomatic organizations, and foreign officers.

The restriction had mostly affected the diplomatic missions. Thus, the government has decided to lift the restriction on the import of such vehicles.
