400Gbps optical fiber network is deployed by Subisu
"The new fiber solution will assist fulfill the growing demand for high-quality, high-speed internet and intranet services"
One of Nepal's biggest ISPs, Subisu Cablenet, has installed a 400Gbps single-optical fiber connection. In collaboration with Nokia, the fiber network upgrade was completed. Subisu's high-speed fiber network solution has now been extended from east to west across the country.
400Gbps single optical fiber Subisu:
The new fiber solution will assist fulfill the growing demand for high-quality, high-speed internet and intranet services. Furthermore, it represents a significant addition to Subisu's broadband capabilities. Customers, both commercial and retail, may now expect a high-speed broadband internet and intranet solution from the company.
Subisu has installed the Nokia 1830 Photonic Service Switch (PSS) platform in collaboration with Nokia, which supports Photonic Service Engine (PSE) and Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) (DWDM).
The scalable switch allows for quick service rollout, decreases TCO, and extends network life cycles. The 1830 PSE also transforms traditional WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) into a flexible transport layer with managed agile photonics, multilayer switching, and services, as well as network intelligence.
“We have been working with Nokia for a long time, and Nokia's industry-leading products and solutions are helping to provide high-speed and high-quality broadband services to Subisu's customers,” says Vinay Mohan Saud, CEO of Subisu. Nokia is the project's single vendor, and its solutions have allowed us to give a high level of experience and service to our consumers through our services.”
Furthermore, Nokia's 400Gbps single fiber solution will significantly increase fiber capacity while lowering operation costs. Subisu can now easily deploy a multi-terabit capacity network over a single fiber with this technology.
