Citroen C3 Coming Soon In Nepal | Spotted In India |

Citroen C3, the first car manufactured in India by French automobile company Citroen, is undergoing road tests on the roads of India.

The company is planning to launch the Citroen C3 next month.

The C3 appears appealing as it prepares to compete in India's booming sub-compact and micro SUV segments.

The company has developed this car on the Common Modular Platform (CMP) modular platform.

Though Citroen has not revealed any details about the engine, the C3 is likely to get a 1.2-liter turbocharged motor that belts out 130 bhp and is likely to be mated to a seven-speed automatic gearbox as well as a five-speed manual unit.

Exterior:

The front of the car has a spit headlamp, LED DRL and a rear-round LED backlight on the rear.

The car has a chrome finish on the ORVM and front grille, a hexagon-sized grille on the bottom, and a dual-tone bumper and aluminum skid plate on the bottom.

It has dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels and the ground clearance of the car is 180 mm.

Interior:

With a 2,540mm wheelbase, the car also has the highest legroom for rear passengers. The cabin of the car has a 10-inch size infotainment system that features Android Auto and Apple Car Play connectivity. The car also has a wireless smartphone charger.

Moreover, the car has a three-spoke steering wheel, digital instrument cluster, and manual air conditioning.

The company has given the car a five-speed manual and automatic transmission system.

Citroen's C5 Air Cross is being sold in the Nepali market. Shangrila Motors, the official distributor of Citroen for Nepal, mentioned that sales of C3 will start in Nepal shortly after its launch in India.

Citroen C5 Aircross Premium SUV has been officially unveiled soon in Nepal

Citroen has been around for a little over 100 years but it is only now that the French carmaker is putting its focus on the Indian market. Underlining that the country is key to its global plans, Citroen on Monday officially showcased the C5 Aircross which will be its debut product in India.

 

To be launched in March, the Citroen C5 Aircross SUV is looking at providing the company with a solid foundation. The vehicle is already available in several foreign markets in Europe, Latin America and China. 

Company officials in a virtual briefing informed that the localization process will significantly increase in subsequent offerings.

C5 Aircross is the flagship offering from Citroen which is directed towards family buyers looking at a comfortable ride experience while experiencing the latest in in-car tech. The SUV will come with a 2.0-litre diesel engine and petrol versions.

This engine will be mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox with the company claiming mileage of 18.6 kmpl.

The C5 Aircross, once launched, will lock horns against Volkswagen Tiguan and Jeep Compass Trailhawk.

Citroen has made a total investment of around INR 2,000 crore in India and will roll out its products from its plant in Tamil Nadu.

Shangrila Motors Private Limited, the authorized distributor of Peugeot brand vehicles for Nepal has also been appointed as the authorized distributor of Citroen brand vehicles for Nepal by PSA Groupe, France.

Citroen has started delivering the C5 Aircross in India. The SUV was released earlier this month, with the Feel variant costing Rs 29.90 lakh and the top-spec Shine model costing Rs 31.90 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom).

The SUV is available for purchase entirely online, with doorstep delivery in over 50 cities. You can also choose your preferred financing option, insurance, annual maintenance packages, warranty, exchange offers, and a variety of other accessories online.

The Citroen C5 Aircross comes standard with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, adjustable rear seats (with reclining and sliding), and a panoramic sunroof.

Six airbags, front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, fog lights with cornering function, semi-autonomous parking assist, tyre pressure monitoring, ISOFIX, traction control, a rear parking camera, and Electronic Stability Control ensure passenger safety (ESC).

The C5 Aircross is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine with 177PS and 400Nm (mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission). The made-in-India SUV competes with the top-of-the-line Jeep Compass and the upcoming 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan.
