Da Real Soldiers (DRS) Gaming from Nepal has bagged the first position in the PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) South Asia S3.

Sixteen teams competed in an action-filled competition that happened from April 15 to 18.

Bringing pride to Nepal DRS put up a fierce battle in the 24 matches in the finals.

They received 4 Chicken Dinners, which is the most received by any team in the event, 158 points, and 115 kills.

Z3US Esports from Mongolia won second place, with 129 placement points but accumulated a staggering 142 kills.

DRS managed to swipe the victory with just two points in the end.

 

 

The top nine teams from this round have made it to the PMPL South Asia Championship Finals, which is happening from May 14 - 16.

The top two teams (DRS and Z3US) will also be representing South Asia in the Peacekeeper Elite Invitational Asia (PEI) 2021.

The winning prize of PEI is $460,000, where sixteen teams from Asia will battle in the invitational. 

It will be played on Peacekeeper Elite (Game of Peace), which is the Chinese version of PUBG Mobile.

The Redmi K20 Pro PUBG Mobile Tournament 2020 Nepal final was held at Chhaya centre, Thamel on 22nd Feb 2020 with the top 16 teams.

PUBG Mobile game has now become a household name. The PUBG game is very popular among teenagers and also among adults. The PUBG tournaments feature best talents and are being well received by the audience.

Xiaomi Nepal with Kurukshetra  organized a PUBG event in Nepal. This was one of the perfect platforms for PUBG players to showcase their talent. The gaming community in Nepal has been growing quite a lot these past few years. Xiaomi  had organized this PUBG Mobile Tournament 2020 event in collaboration with Kurukshetra. In the finals of this PUBG Mobile Tournament, there were a total of 16 teams out of 160 teams playing against each other.

In the LAN finals, the 16 teams had a battle with each other. Each team was giving tough competition to each other. But out of these 16 finalists, KINGS NEPAL won the first position. Team SINS and team EXPERIMENTAL took second and third position respectively.

The prize pool for these PUBG tournament winner teams was Rs 50,000 for 1st position, Rs 30,000 for 2nd position and Rs 20,000 for a 3rd position.

For the top 5 position holders, Vianet is also offering free internet services. 1st position holder-KINGS Nepal will be given free 20Mbps internet for 1 year, 2nd place holder (SINS) will get free 20Mbps internet for 6 months. And for the 3rd–Experimental, the 4th–Ultimate Bang and the 5th– MAD ES Nepal finisher will get free 20Mbps internet for 3 months.

THE PUBG JOURNEY SO FAR for Nepal

On 23rd of February PMCO Spring Split 2020, South Asia, the massive PUBG Mobile tournament  was completed were 16 teams from Nepal and Bangladesh were competing against each other (Though teams from Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and Maldives were also part of this region they didn't make it to the finals). The teams were selected through in-game qualifiers and through various stages. The registration was open for all and free of cost. The tournament was won by Team Hype from Nepal which included Gurkhaayt, Prototype, SK49, V3nom, and Daleon.

THE PUBG JOURNEY AHEAD for Nepal

Top 6 teams (5 are from Nepal and 1 from Bangladesh), are invited to participate from this PUBG tournament for the next level of the competition, the Pro League of South Asia region where they will be accompanied by 9 teams from India and last year's top 5 teams from PMCO Fall Split to fight for the spot in the  World League. This makes the total number of teams to 20 which will battle it out for the spot. The PUBG tournament will begin from 12th March and will go on for a month in New Delhi. The PUBG tournament will be LAN based.

As more and more talent is coming out from Nepal, many proper Esports organization will either emerge from Nepal or will come from outside Nepal to get the players and train them for the competition. The ‘PUBG Mobile Championship 2021' in Nepal will be sponsored by TVS Motor Company. The event is associated with the tagline of the company's Bluetooth-enabled scooter TVS NTORQ 125, "Play Smart." Registration for the championship begins on April 18, 2021, and three lucky winners will receive TVS Ntorq 125 SuperSquad Edition scooters.
