Skoda Kodiaq has returned to the Indian market after being withdrawn over two years ago because of tighter emission standards.

It now has a 2.0-liter TSI petrol engine that is BS 6 compliant. The engine comes mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. The vehicle can generate a maximum output of 190 PS and 320 Nm of maximum torque.

Skoda claims the new Kodiaq can accelerate to 100 kmph in just 7.8 seconds.

New Skoda Kodiaq features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that comes with inbuilt navigation and wireless connectivity.

There is a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, three zones automatic climate control system, and a 12-speaker Canton sound system in the doors.

The 2022 Kodiaq has a dual-tone interior with a black and beige theme. It has ventilated front seats with cooling and heating, ambient lighting, and an electrically controlled panoramic sunroof.

The Kodiaq SUV will include nine airbags as well as other safety measures. Moreover, the 2022 Skoda Kodiaq will come with five drive modes which are Eco, Normal, Sports, Snow, and Individual.

Skoda Auto India has introduced the 2022 Kodiaq facelift SUV in the nation, with prices beginning at ₹35.99 lakh, going up to ₹38.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

The car has been released in three base models: Style, SportLine, and Laurin & Klement.

Skoda Auto India on Tuesday announced that production of the new Kodiaq SUV has begun at its manufacturing facility in Aurangabad, Maharashtra.

The facelift model features various designs and aerodynamic improvements on the outside and in the cabin.

Skoda Kodiaq was first introduced in India and the world in 2017.

Facelift Skoda Kodiaq is the second SUV introduced by the brand in India this year with the aim to strengthen its position in the sports utility vehicle segment in the country.

“We believe that the offerings of the New KODIAQ, will lead connoisseurs of design and aesthetics to appreciate the SUV even more," said Zac Hollis, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India.

Adding to this, Managing Director, Gurpratap Boparai said, “We add yet another product that provides the Indian customer with the best of technology, safety, and comfort."
