Kia India has finally launched its much-anticipated EV6 electric crossover in India. The Korean carmaker has confirmed that the 100 units of the Kia EV6 are already sold out.

For the past six months, Intercontinental Pvt. Ltd, Nepal's authorized Kia vehicle distributor, has been planning to introduce the EV6. However, there is no official announcement on when it will be released in Nepal.

With that said, let’s take a quick look at the Kia EV6 with its key specifications:

Design

The EV comes with dual LED headlights with an adjustable driving beam and LED DRLs at the front. The EV gets a rear spoiler, LED combination lights, and fog lights on the rear.

The interior of the EV6 has a premium feel thanks to its eco-friendly design, which includes seats made from recycled PETs and high-quality vegan leather.

The EV boasts a panoramic 24.6-inch curved display that includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment system.

The infotainment system incorporates voice control and is compatible with Apple Car Play and Android Auto.

Bluetooth communication with voice recognition, a six-speaker music system, and a wireless mobile phone charger is among the other connectivity features.

Performance

The KIA EV6 will be available in two variants- the GT and GT-Line AWD. The EV6 is powered by a 77.4 kWh battery.

The rear-wheel-drive model produces 229 bhp of power and 350Nm torque, while the all-wheel-drive produces 325hp and 605Nm of torque.

Kia claims that the EV6 will offer a maximum range of 528 km as per the WLTP cycle under standard conditions.

The electric crossover can sprint from 0-100 kmph in barely 3.5 seconds. The top speed of the Kia EV6 is expected to be around 192 kmph.

Using a 50Kw charger, the battery will take around 73 minutes to charge from 10-80%, whereas the 350 Kw chargers will charge the battery in around 18 minutes.

In terms of safety, the Kia EV6 gets 8 airbags as standard along with All-Wheel Disc Brakes, Electronic Stability Control (ECS), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), Multi collision Brake Assist (MCBA), Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Brake Assistant System (BAS), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Front and Rear parking sensors and ISOFIX Child Anchor.

The price of the Kia EV6 in India is at starting price of Rs 59.95 lakh. The top-spec GT Line AWD has priced at Rs 64.95 lakh.

Kia Seltos will come in petrol, turbo-petrol, and diesel versions and drivers would also have the option to choose from 'Normal', 'Eco' and 'Sport' mode. The maximum power given by the petrol variant is 140ps/ 115ps @ 6000 rpm and max torque of 242Nm/114 Nm @ 3200/4500 rpm. The diesel version gives the max power of 115ps @ 4000 rpm and the peak torque of 250 Nm @ 2570 rpm.
