Ford begins shipping new Bronco SUVs for consumers

16th June 2021
"The Bronco is viewed as one of the most critical nonelectric product launches for Ford in years."

Ford Motor started shipping Bronco SUVs from the company’s Michigan Assembly plant on Monday. Inside the plant, two- and four-door versions of the Bronco in all sorts of colors — from vibrant yellows and blues to blacked-out models — were being produced at the facility near Detroit.

The Bronco is viewed as one of the most critical nonelectric product launches for the company in years. It is expected to be the flagship model for a new Bronco family of vehicles.

To see it rolling down the line here, it’s amazing,” Bronco marketing manager Mark Grueber said Monday during a tour of the plant. “It’s almost 25 years to the day that the last Bronco rolled down the line here. It was June 12, 1996.”

The resurrection of the Bronco, which Ford initially produced from 1965-1996, has been years in the making, including a coronavirus-related delay earlier this year. The company initially announced plans in January 2017 to bring back the Bronco name.

The Bronco Sport, which is produced in Mexico, features the styling of the Bronco but is built more like a car or crossover than a truck. Consumers could consider it a cousin of the Bronco.

Starting pricing for the Ford Bronco ranges from about $29,995.Several different models are available and are designed around different types of adventure.

More than 125,000 Broncos orders have been placed, with a total of more than 190,000 reservations in the U.S. and Canada to date, plus Bronco Nation debates are already fiery and Bronco Roadeo off-road adventure playgrounds are ready to roll.

Mahindra has officially unveiled its new electric SUVs, which are built on the INGLO platform, the company's latest EV design.

The new platform, which is based on VW's MEB architecture, will support five Mahindra EVs, which will be sold under two new EV brands: the XUV and the BE. The XUV series will have two models—the XUV.e8 and XUV.e9—while the BE series will include the BE.05, BE.07, and BE.09.

The first four will be launched between 2024 and 2026.

The INGLO Platform

Mahindra guarantees that all future cars based on the INGLO platform will get the highest GNCAP ratings possible.

The SUVs will include a structural cage surrounding the passenger compartment to protect passengers from harm.

Similarly, three load routes and a multi-piece dash panel with strength will be added to the front design of the Body-In-White aesthetic.

The use of high-strength boron steel will also provide battery protection.

The cars will also include five Radars-1 Vision technology, which ensures Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) capabilities of up to L2+ degree of autonomy.
