Renault unveiled the 'Renault-5' electric car, these are the special features

Renault unveiled a prototype of the new electric car 'Renault-5' on January 14. The retro-inspired electric hatchback brought by the company is getting a lot of discussions now. The hatchback, which is part of the company's Renaissance Plan, is expected to hit European markets by 2024. Renault inspired prototypes from the popular Supermini in the 1970s and '80s. Box design, LED signature lights, high-tech displays, modern looks have made this hatchback electric the talk of the town.




Renault unveiled electric car with special features
 

Renault-5 has a different type of LED headlamp as the headlamp of the future. Features include Square LED Daytime Running Light, Aerodynamic Tail Light, Large Alloy Wheel, Dashboard, and Transparent Screen.

Renault design director Giles Vedal said the car was designed with the urban area in mind. According to him, this is one of the 24 new models that Renault will bring to the market by 2025. The company has not given any information about its other features.

Renault investing in electric vehicles?

Renault SA will contribute €128.5 million ($144 million) for a 50 percent stake in a venture with Jiangling Motors Corp (JMC) to create electric vehicles in China.

The entity was made in 2015 and as of now holds affirmation to fabricate battery-electric traveler vehicles, as per an announcement from the French carmaker on Wednesday. It intends to develop rapidly and become a conspicuous player in the Chinese market, it included.

“This partnership in electric vehicle business with JMC will support our growth plan in China and our EV capabilities,” Francois Provost, head of the China region at Renault, said in the statement.

Renault, which has had a limited presence in China, is pushing ahead with an electrification strategy that includes a new battery-powered car that will go on sale in that country along with a plan to make hybrid versions of three of its existing models.

Renault KWID Concept Car: First Look

Renault took the wraps off its most recent concept car - the Kwid - at the recently finished up Auto Expo in Delhi. The introduction was an intense statement from the French carmaker as it was the first occasion when it was indicating an idea outside of Europe. The Kwid is each piece of concept vehicle in its looks, bid and somewhat, the exaggerated extents. Yet, in spite of that, there lies a message inside this structured study - one that focuses on future styling prompts, portions of intrigue and even size of vehicles that Renault is taking a gander at acutely. The vehicle is part buggy and part SUV and remains beneath 4 meters in generally speaking length. This we know is a guideline that enables producers to profit by lower tax assessment, since the vehicle gets classified as 'small'
