A new update has been released by Zoom for Android as well as desktop users. The new update comes with new features including a call tone that is unique to all calls separating when a call is ended abruptly or if the call gets ended unknowingly. 

Also, Zoom is reported to launch an Email service and a calendar app in early 2021. 

The new Version of zooms update is available on the Google Play Store of Android devices with version number 5.4.7. This new update brings a new chime for all call ends. Also, the update has fixed other bugs and has enhanced security. With the new update, one can add q contact imported through the integration process as a Zoom contacts. 

In the corner of the participants' video, one can find the Non-verbal feedbacks option. The host can see each participant's reactions in the participant list, as well as the aggregate numbers of each reaction at the bottom of the list. Host and co-hosts can now also utilize the raise-hand feature along with the participants and webinar attendees. The Zoom for Android update further improves the grouping of security options when scheduling. Support for text messaging (SMS and MMS) for Zoom Phone Pro users have also been added.

Zooms desktop version also gets a similar update. It additionally brings support for Apple Silicon Processors. Access to the changelog, The macOS Zoom desktop client will better support computers with ARM CPUs. The desktop update brings poll reports available during the live session and improves the grouping of security options when scheduling. Also, some minor bugs have been fixed, with security enhancement in this update.

Cisco recently introduced a bunch of new features for Webex aiming to improve work from home services. The new update includes a tool that is able to create meeting highlights on just verbal command. By use of which one can easily convert a phone call to a video call and other. 

The video telephony and chat services enabled apps are fierce than ever. Zoom leading the list with all the best yet unchallenging features. As the tough competition amongst these apps including Microsoft's Teams and Verizon's BlueJeans, Cisco felt urgency to level up its game to stay competitive. Hence added some of the best features.

Here are some of the new features Cisco introduced recently:

Noise cancellation: Webex will automatically "detect and suppress" common noises such as rustling papers and loud typing. 

Transcription: Webex will generate searchable transcripts of calls, making it easy to catch up if you've missed a meeting. It's also adding closed captioning, which will it easier for hearing impaired people participate in virtual meetings. 

In-meeting gestures: Coming next year, meeting participants will be able to make a "thumbs up" with their hand and Webex's AI will translate that motion into a thumbs up icon on the screen for everyone to see (helpful for people who have a hard time finding the buttons on the app). 

Real-time translation: Starting in February, you can listen in on a meeting where the speaker is using a different language and get a real-time transcription. Each meeting participant can choose which language they want. The feature will be available in English, Spanish, French, German, Mandarin, Portuguese, Arabic, Russian, Dutch and Japanese.

Meeting templates: Using the roundtable meeting template, for example, every participant will have the opportunity to speak once before anyone speaks twice. This feature is also coming soon

A new group voice chat feature similar to the always-on Discord room is being added to Telegram. Voice chats come together with text chats. Voice chat enables users to speak continually live with friends or family. You can sink in and out of voice chats similar to a Discord room or call as they're always available. 

For bigger live events that include voice chats, telegram is supporting “a few thousand participants". Anyone can join the conversation freely and can enable this feature from the top of an existing group chat. Also push to talk key for voice chats is available on desktop versions of Telegram for Windows and Mac, it helps control your microphone output. 

A useful voice chat overlay that lets you see who's talking or operating microphone has been built in on Telegram which operates as a system-wide floating widget. Also, one can mute or unmute when Telegram is running in the background

Though the group voice chats are limited to audio till now, Telegram says it is adding video and screen sharing features in the coming weeks. One can try out group voice chats by enabling the feature in a group's settings. Admins can only enable the feature.
