Hyundai Motor Company announced its win of four accolades at this year’s GOOD DESIGN Awards. Hyundai’s two most progressive EV concepts, 45 and Prophecy, together with the all-new 2021 Hyundai Elantra and the Hyundai Hi-Charger, an ultra-fast EV charging infrastructure, were recognized in the Awards’ Transportation category.

The 45 EV concept, first introduced at the International Motor Show 2019 in Frankfurt, is a futuristic homage to Hyundai’s iconic Pony Coupe Concept. The styling of 45 is defined by its monocoque-style form, aerodynamics, light-weight design inspired by aircraft, and diamond-shaped silhouette.

Earlier this year, the 45 shone under the spotlight at other world-renowned design competitions, including the 2020 International Design Excellence Awards, 2020 Red Dot Awards, and the iF Design Award 2020. Such accolades raise expectations of the upcoming release of IONIQ 5, Hyundai’s first dedicated EV in the new IONIQ lineup brand launching next year.

The Prophecy, unveiled last March, is Hyundai’s visionary concept that signifies a direction of future EV styling based on the Sensuous Sportiness design identity. It expands on the era-defining example set by the 45 EV concept that stripped away complexity in favor of clean lines and minimalistic structures. Prophecy won ‘Best of the Best’ in the 2020 Red Dot Awards’ Design Concept group, and the concept was also named a finalist for the 2020 International Design Excellence Awards.

Another big win went to the all-new 2021 Elantra, which made its debut earlier this year. The seventh-generation Elantra offers a futuristic and innovative look and feels, thanks to its Parametric Dynamics design elements. The vehicle’s exterior design is adorned with unique style features including a parametric-jewel-pattern grille and an H-tail Lamp that creates a Hyundai “flying H” logo-like shape. The interior further complements the Elantra’s overall appeal with a 10-inch information-display cluster and infotainment system.

Celebrating its 70th anniversary, the GOOD DESIGN Awards program is one of the oldest design competitions in the world. Every year, the program selects a list of products and industry leaders in design and manufacturing that have chartered new directions for innovation and pushed the envelope for competitive products in the world marketplace.

The second-generation Hyundai Creta BS-6 has unveiled today, in Nepal and it is sure to be a tough competition in the mid-size SUV segment which is currently being ruled by SUVs such as Kia Seltos, Ford Ecosport, and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. The SUV follows the standard of BS-VI emission norms.

Laxmi InterContinental Pvt. Ltd. the authorized distributor of the widely popular Hyundai vehicles, has unveiled the most awaited Ultimate SUV, The All-New Hyundai Creta in Nepal. The launch was conducted through a virtual webcast done from the digital platforms of Hyundai Nepal i.e. official Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube page. 

Speaking about the All-new Hyundai Creta, Mr. Rupesh Sharma Bhatta, GM, Laxmi Intercontinental Pvt. Ltd. stated, “Over the years, Hyundai CRETA has set new benchmarks, becoming an Iconic Brand name among Nepalese consumers and building a strong legacy with over 5000+ Happy Customers across Nepal. It is time for the CRETA to set new standards once again. With Hyundai's Global Design language - 'Sensuous Sportiness', the Front of the SUV is characterized by the 3-dimensional Cascading Grille with muscle like vertical and horizontal patterns and sculpted bumper with skid plates. Flared wheel arches coupled with thoughtfully crafted crease lines on the bonnet add to the imposing stance of All-New CRETA. Uniquely separated boomerang-shaped LED DRLs along with LED Head Lamps and smartly positioned fog lamps along with Welcome Function with Auto Unfold ORVM’s & Puddle Lamps which gives the SUV a futuristic look. 

Inside, the new Creta gets an all-new two-tone Black & Greige interior with a 26.03cm HD Infotainment system, Leather-wrapped steering with mounted controls, 17.78cm digital instrument cluster, Auto Healthy Air Purifier, and Smoothing Blue Ambient Lighting.  In terms of Safety, The All-New Creta has a strong body structure with AHSS, and the vehicle loaded with various safety features such as Front Dual Airbags, Driver Rear View Monitor, Hill Start Assist Control (HAC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Rear Parking Sensors with Camera. 

2020 Hyundai Creta Variants and Specification

The second-generation Hyundai Creta five-seater will come in three variants: a 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated MPi petrol, a 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel, and a 1.4-liter turbo GDi petrol. The 1.5-liter petrol provides 115 PS power and 142 Nm torque, whereas the 1.5-liter diesel engine offers 115 PS power and 250 Nm torque. The more powerful turbo petrol provides 140 PS power and 242 Nm torque.

Hyundai Creta 2020 Colours 

The Hyundai Creta 2020 will be sold in the following color options – Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Phantom Black, Lava Orange, Titan Grey, Deep Forest (Turbo Only), Galaxy Blue, Red Mulberry, Polar White with Phantom Black (Dual-Tone), and Lava Orange with Phantom Black (Dual-Tone).

Hyundai Creta 2020 Price in Nepal

The All-New Creta is available in various engine options that are 1.5-liter Petrol and 1.5-liter VGT Diesel. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual that will be standard across the range, along with an optional torque convertor for the 1.5 diesel engine, and the iVT automatic for the 1.5 petrol motor. The new generation Creta will be offered in a total of 6 variants.

Hyundai was named 2021 Best SUV Brand by U.S. News & World Report today. Hyundai has a full lineup of award-winning SUVs including the Hyundai Palisade, Santa Fe, Kona, Kona EV, subcompact Venue, NEXO, and all-new 2022 Tucson for a variety of customer preferences. Hyundai recently announced plans for 12 new and significantly enhanced SUVs through 2021.

 

The Best Vehicle Brands methodology used the combined overall scores from the U.S. News Best Cars rankings across all models in each of the award classes.

The overall ranking scores are based on the U.S. News & World Report’s analysis of published, credible reviews from the automotive press, as well as safety and reliability data. Many of these reviews evaluated the interior, exterior, value, performance, and tech features of each vehicle.

The survey shows Hyundai Motor’s global brand value up 1 percent year-on-year to $14.3 billion, ranking fifth among global automotive brands and 36th overall despite recessionary market conditions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
