"Everyone gets an upset stomach and indigestion, also known as dyspepsia, from time to time after eating or drinking."

Everyone gets an upset stomach and indigestion, also known as dyspepsia, from time to time after eating or drinking, and the symptoms are generally treatable with home remedies.

Avoiding lying down

The acid in the stomach is more prone to go backward and upward when the body is horizontal, causing heartburn.

For at least a few hours, people with an upset stomach should avoid lying down or going to bed. Pillows should be used to prop up the head, neck, and upper chest of someone who needs to lie down, ideally at a 30-degree angle.

Ginger

Ginger is a popular natural cure for indigestion and upset stomach.

Ginger includes compounds known as gingerols and shogaols, which can assist in the speeding up of stomach contractions. This may help to pass indigestion-causing meals through the stomach more rapidly.

Ginger's compounds may also aid with nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.

If you have an upset stomach, consider putting ginger in your diet or drinking ginger tea. Some all-natural ginger drinks may include enough ginger to calm a stomach problem.

Mint

Mint has long been used to relieve indigestion, gas, and diarrhea. Both raw and cooked mint leaves are edible.

Mint leaves and cardamom are traditionally boiled together to form a tea. Mint leaves can also be powdered or juiced and mixed with other teas, beverages, or dishes. Another technique to help relieve the pain and suffering of heartburn is to eat mint candies.

Coconut water

Potassium and magnesium are high in coconut water. These nutrients can help with muscle spasms, cramps, and pain.

Coconut water is also good for rehydrating and is a healthier alternative to most sports drinks because it is low in calories, sugar, and acidity.

Slowly drinking up to 2 glasses of coconut water every 4–6 hours can help to alleviate stomach trouble.

Cloves

Cloves include compounds that may contribute to the reduction of stomach gas and the enhancement of gastric secretions.

This could help to speed up slow digestion, reducing pressure and cramps. Cloves may also aid in nausea and vomiting relief.

If you have an upset stomach, mix 1 or 2 teaspoons ground or powdered cloves with 1 teaspoon honey once a day before night. Instead, they might brew a clove tea by combining the cloves with 8 oz of boiling water, which they should sip slowly once or twice a day for nausea and heartburn.

Reduce Uric Acid | Home Treatments |

1st February 2022
"Uric acid is a waste product created when purine-containing foods are digested."

Uric acid is a waste product created when purine-containing foods are digested. The kidneys and urine are generally used to eliminate uric acid from the body.

If you eat too much purine or if your body can't get rid of it soon enough, uric acid can build up in your blood.

Avoid sugar

While uric acid is normally associated with protein-rich diets, new research suggests that sugar may also be a factor. Sugar content, corn syrup, and high fructose corn syrup are examples of added sugars in food.

Fructose and glucose-containing sugars are abundant in sugary drinks, soda, and even fresh fruit juices. Sugary drinks should be replaced with filtered water and fiber-rich smoothies.

Drink more water

Drinking enough of water encourages your kidneys to clear away uric acid more quickly.

Always have a water bottle with you. Set an hourly alarm to remind you to drink a few sips.

Avoid alcohol

You may become dehydrated if you drink alcohol. High uric acid levels might also be a result of it.

This occurs because, rather than filtering uric acid and other wastes, your kidneys must first filter compounds that occur in the blood owing to alcohol. Beer, for example, has a high purine content.

Lose Weight

Weight gain, in addition to your nutrition, might elevate your uric acid levels. Uric acid production is higher in fat cells than in muscle cells. Furthermore, gaining weight makes it more difficult for your kidneys to filter out uric acid.

Losing weight too soon can have a negative impact on levels. It's advised to avoid fad diets and crash dieting if you're overweight.

Consult a nutritionist to develop a balanced eating and weight-loss plan that you can stick to.

Reduce Stress

Inflammatory can be worsened by stress, poor sleeping habits, and insufficient exercise. A high uric acid level can be caused by inflammation.

To help you cope with your stress levels, use mindful practices such as breathing exercises and yoga. Join a class or set an alarm on your phone to remind you to stretch and breathe multiple times a day.
