Tata Motors unveiled its anticipated Tata Nexon EV on 16th December. According to Tata Motor's latest update, its first electric SUV, Tata Nexon EV launch date is scheduled in Jan 2020 in India but no information is released about its launch in Nepal. It is expected that the Tata Nexon EV price in India will be set between Rs.15 Lakh and Rs. 17 Lakh. The Tata Nexon EV will be the first vehicle by the carmaker that will accompany the company's Ziptron powertrain. 

Tata Nexon EV specifications

As for the Tata Nexon EV Specifications, the new Nexon EV will get IP67 appraised dust and waterproof battery pack and it is expected to give a range of near 300km.

The company is now chipping away at its charging framework and it means to increase the number of chargers in significant metro urban areas very soon. Once launched, the Tata Nexon EV will go facing any semblance of the Mahindra XUV300 electric that is as of now experiencing advancement. Sipradi Trading, the sole authorised distributor of Tata Motors in Nepal, has officially launched the Tata Nexon EV compact SUV in Nepal at a starting price of NPR 35.99 Lakh.

Nexon EV is equipped with a powerful and high-efficiency 127 bhp permanent-magnet AC motor powered by a high capacity 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery.

The motor produces 245 Nm of instant torque from a standstill, enabling Nexon EV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 9.9 seconds.

The EV comes with best-in-industry dust and waterproof battery pack which meets IP67 standards.  

The Nexon EV promises zippy performance, an ARAI-certified range of 312 km (depend upon driving conditions range fall between 230-250km),  fast charging capability, and class-leading safety features. 

Sipradi Trading has already installed 8 DC Fast Chargers across Nepal. The company also plans to install 15+ DC Fast Chargers within 150 km of all strategic road networks.

Also, the company will come up with 100+ AC charging points and on-demand mobile charging. 

Tata Motors Nepal will also provide free home charging device and installation services for seamless home charging solutions. In addition, the Nexon EV can be charged from any 15 amp plug point.  When plugged into a fast DC Charger, the Nexon EV will recharge 80% battery capacity within 60 minutes. 

The Nexon EV measures 3,994 km in length, 1,811 mm in width, and stands 1,607 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,498 mm. The ground clearance is 205 mm. The boot capacity is at 350 liters.

The Tata Nexon EV complies with the latest full-frontal, side-impact, and offset impact crash regulations. It gets safety features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD and cornering stability control, ISOFIX anchorage for child seats, and camera-based reverse park assist.

The Nexon EV comes with two drive mode options – Drive & Sport. It utilises tech features like regenerative braking to charge the battery while coasting, Hill Ascent & Descent Assist to make driving on slopes more convenient.

Nexon EV Colours

The Nexon EV will be available in three colours – Glacier White, Moonlit Silver, and Signature Teal Blue. The company will also provide a spare tyre with every purchase.

Nexon EV price in Nepal

The Nexon EV will be available in three variants – XM (Rs 35.99 Lakh), XZ+ (Rs 37.99 Lakh), and XZ+ LUX with Sunroof (Rs 39.99 Lakh)  and will come with a warranty of 8 years or 1,60,000km (whichever is earlier) on battery and motor.
