All About OnePlus 7 Pro

OnePlus 7 series was unveiled on 14th of May on three different locations London, New York and Bangalore simultaneously through OnePlus 7 series launch event. OnePlus 7 Pro was unveiled in New York whereas both OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 were unveiled in London and Bangalore. With that said lets talk about new device in town first i.e. OnePlus 7 pro. OnePlus 7 Pro is the latest flagship phone from OnePlus.  OnePlus describes OnePlus 7 Pro as their first “ultra-premium” phone. This is the first time, OnePlus has launched two phones simultaneously, three if you count the 5G variation of OnePlus 7 Pro.

 


 

OnePlus 7 Pro features all the latest hardware, there is to offer. OnePlus 7 pro has the largest display till date under OnePlus devices, coming at 6.67-inch and sports a curved edge design. This is the new display design used by OnePlus and has been given the name “Fluid AMOLED Display”. The display is a Quad HD+ screen and has the resolution of 3,120 x 1,440 resolution (516ppi) supporting Quad HD+ and having the aspect ratio of 19.5:9 giving the phone a near basel-less look. Fluid in the name refers to the 90hz refresh rate giving smoother and snappier feel to the device.

 

 

As said device has a near basel-less design meaning there is no notch to be seen. After two years of flaunting cutout for camera design , OnePlus has finally ditched the notch in support of popup camera design.  OnePlus 7 comes in three colors - Nebula Blue, Mirror Grey, and Almond. Almond being a limited edition and will be released later in June. Along with the device it has also given a glimpse of their OEM cases and promised to release them soon to the market.

 

 

Never Settle being the motto of their products, they are surely making their followers to not settle. In the past to reduce the cost, company had to sacrifice the camera experience but that is changing now. OnePlus 7 Pro flaunts triple camera setup in the rear. The main camera sensor is a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor and is 34.8% larger than the one found in OnePlus 6t. This sensor has f/1.6 aperture for better low light performance and features OIS and EIS. The Bottom sensor is a 8MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture supporting up to 3x Optical zoom and 10x digital zoom. The top sensor is a 16MP ultra wide angle camera with a 117 degree field-of-view and f/2.2 aperture.

 

 

Talking about the processor, OnePlus 7 Pro uses the latest Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 SoC and will come in three RAM variations, 6GB which will have 128GB internal Storage, 8GB which will be bundled with 256Gb of storage and finally 12GB of RAM with 256GB on board storage. OnePlus is also bringing UFS 3.0 in their devices beating the Samsung. This will boost the data transfer speeds significantly and will help to load the memory-intensive apps much faster.

OnePlus 7 Pro also has a bump in battery capacity and will come with a 4000mAh battery. It has also improved the charging time of the device with their Warp Charge 30 Technology. OnePlus states that the device can charge up to 50% just in 20 minutes. OnePlus 7 Pro is also bringing dual stereo speakers for the first time in OnePlus devices and is seen to support Dolby Atmos out of the box. New feature also include Night Mode 2.0 , screen recording and Zen Mode which will disable everything in the phone for 20 Minutes except Emergency calls and photos.

 

 

OnePlus 7 Pro is priced at $669 for the entry model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, $699 for 8GB RAM and 256GB storage and Maxing At $749 for 12GB RAM and 256Gb storage. Which is approximately equivalent to Nrs.75,500, 79,000 and 85,000 respectively.
