An Updated Snapchat
"I didn't care for Snapchat before it was rebuilt and I still don't care for it now. It may be a little snappier (hah!), but it's still fundamentally not for me. - Random Guy on Twitter"
Snapchat’s CEO Evan Spiegel has been promising a complete remake of its Android app for what seems like an eternity. Back in 2018, Snapchat ‘Alpha’ -a prototype of the newer and snappier (pun intended) app- could be accessed for rooted users, which showed promising changes which included a smoother UI and even rumors of the new camera2API. Finally, the new dawn of Snapchat on Android is upon us.
There were many new features announced during the Snap Partner Summit 2019, among them was the new update. Snapchat had announced on Twitter that the "new, faster" app was ready to go.

After using the app for the first time in a long while, much has not changed visually, but it did feel a little smoother than it used to. Android Authority had interviewed some senior Snapchat officials who stated that it was "an entire rewrite from the ground up" that is tested on much more Android devices than before. The end result was a lighter, faster app that doesn't suffer as much from the performance issues of its predecessor.
The update should have arrived yesterday, as it did for me. If it has not reached you yet, you can grab it from APK Mirror.
