CG Net becomes the initiator of trend that provides high speed internet in lower prices among the ISPs in Nepal

The introduction of CG Net’s low charges, that is almost half off the normal prices for the current internet services in Nepal, has started a wave in Nepali internet market. Following the CG Net other ISPs are racing to provide the highest possible speed at lowest possible rates. 

Worldlink introduced “Sasto Internet Package” worth Rs 799 for 10 Mbps internet including IPTV with more than 200 channels. Classic Tech countered that with the offer of 20 Mbps internet including IPTV for Rs 799. Then Vianet brought Nepal’s first 100 Mbps for Rs 2,9600 for a year that includes 3 Via TVs. Vianet’s offer gives you 100 Mbps for the price of 60 Mbps, and to counter this, again Classic Tech introduced a similar package for Rs 1800. 

CG Net’s entry in the field has directed the internet market in Nepal to a new path. The ISPs in Nepal are competing to provide high speed internet for low price rather than the other way around. Subscribers of DishHome are getting 10 Mbps internet for free and 30 Mbps for 233 Mbps. DishHome Fiber Net has even announced that they are bringing 200 Mbps internet with a very reasonable prices. Similarly NTA has started providing free mobile data for their subscribers of Fiber internet and IPTV. The company has said it will provide 300 MB free daily mobile data for the FTTH subscribers with more than 20 Mbps.
