GBG BizFest and BizStart 2019 concluded with a Grand Success

Google Business Group Kathmandu – a community of business professionals in Kathmandu successfully organized the second edition of GBG BizFest and BizStart 2019, Nepal’s biggest startup exhibition as well as free workshops on December 28. This edition of expo was organized in main collaboration with Genese Software Solution – a cloud consulting company in Nepal.
Amit Agrawal, Manager of GBG Kathmandu said, “GBG BizFest is an annual event happening in different countries throughout the world. We are excited to host this event for the second time in Nepal and bring all the emerging startups in Nepal under one umbrella.Startups in Nepal is a very recent phenomenon. We can see many startups emerging to solve various need gaps existing in our society.
However, not many people know about the emerging Nepali startups and there are no such expos in Nepal that are focused on startups only. Also, it’s not possible for all recently founded startups to pay a heavy fee to exhibit in expos.
Thus, GBG Kathmandu is taking the initiation to bring all major startups of Nepal in a single platform. Through GBG BizFest and BizStart 2019, we are trying to provide them with a free and open platform to connect with their potential customers.”
200+ startups in Nepal took part in the expo giving glimpse of their products and services to their potential customers. Not only that, startup founders also got an opportunity to learn new strategies and expand their businesses with Google’s technology.
Along side GBG BizFest and BizStart, special tech-focused workshops were organized. In these workshops, participants were given hands-on opportunity to listen to leading individuals in the industry. The workshops ranged from Google Analytics and Google Ads to Entrepreneurship, Cloud Computing, Growth Hacking, and Digital Marketing.
