Google Drive breaking up with Google Photos

Sync between Google Drive and Google Photos wont work from today. After being rumored for a month, the dissociation between the two services was made official in June, and will go into effect from today. From now on, media you upload to Drive won't show up in Photos, and vice-versa. You will have to move files between the two services manually. No changes will be reflected to a file in another service if you change it in one service. Meaning editing or deleting an image on Drive, won't show the same result in Photos. More importantly, storage space usage will count double for media uploaded in Original Quality.
