Graphene Battery coming soon

Graphene Battery is considered the next major breakthrough in the battery technology. Lithium ion batteries are good but has many draw backs and due to phones getting slimmer and slimmer, battery capacity also has a direct impact. On the other hand graphene battery can have huge capacity with relatively smaller, slimmer battery packs and low weight. Graphene battery also has other advantages like faster charging and lower surface temperature.

Recent tweet from Evan Blass(@evleaks) reavealed that Samsung is in their final stage of development of its new Graphene Battery technology and plans to implement the technology next year or in 2021. @evleaks points out, devices with graphene batteries will be able to charge more quickly than current lithium-ion batteries. Some other possible advantages with graphene batteries include higher capacities, less weight, and lowered costs. Though Samsung has to develop techniques to increase battery capacity while lowering the cost.

If Samsung is successful in creating and implementing the technology, it is sure to take the company to number one spot in the smartphone industry.
