Huawei P40 and P40 Pro launch confirmed

Amidst the US-Huawei war, Huawei even though still being in the entity list is doing its best to bring phones that are loved by the customers. Huawei due to complications with the U.S. launched its Mate 30 Pro without Google Mobile Services (GMS) but still running on Android. No access to Google Apps has not slowed Huawei and now Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Technologies Consumer Business Group, confirmed that the Huawei P40 will be launched in March of 2020.

The P40 series will come with its own Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) instead of Google Mobile Services and will run on Android 10 with EMUI 10 on top. Not only that renders of the P40 and P40 Pro are already out, thanks to @Onleaks and @91mobiles.

Huawei P40

P series phones are best known for their camera performance and in the renders we see phones with a large camera modules. Is it the continuation of the 2019 trend or addition of more better sensors only time will tell. Back of the phone is made from glass and will feature curved edges.

Huawei P40  PRO

P40 series is expected to come with a 6.1 or 6.2-inch flat display whereas Pro version of the phone is expected to have a 6.7 inch display curved at the edges. In the renders we also see different corner design, The corners of the phone come up past the display assuming to protect the display during the fall.

In the render, we also see USB-C, bottom-firing speakers, buttons on the right-hand side but no 3.5mm headphone jack. Other expected specification of the devices includes OLED display, in-display fingerprint sensor, 5,500 mAh battery in the Pro model, 50W wired SuperCharge fast charging, and the HiSilicon Kirin 990 SoC.
