Instagram to test likes hiding feature in U.S starting this week

11th November 2019
"This change is being tested for a stress-free, anxiety-free environment on social media."

Instagram, one of the popular Social Media App, is testing a major change in its platform, hiding the like count on posts. Instagram started testing this feature back in April starting from Canada and slowly extending its testing ground to 6 more countries Ireland, Italy, Japan, Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand.

Now, Instagram is preparing to test this feature in the U.S. ground starting from next week. Adam Mosseri Head of Instagram while talking at the WIRED25 conference said the test will begin in the US starting next week and the like count from the posts of some users may vanish. You'll still get to see the likes on your own posts, it's only your followers that won't.

This change is being tested for a stress-free, anxiety-free environment on social media. But I wonder if Instagram Influencers are in stress and anxiety right now.
