LG G8X Launched in India | Foldable Phone

Foldable phones are in trend right now and almost every phone manufactures are trying to come up with their take in this trend. Enter G8X LG’s take in foldable phone. Where other manufacturers are spending millions on R&D for foldable trend eventually coming up with phone costing arms and legs, LG’s idea is simple, make a normal phone with dual screen attachment, the result, "LG G8X". LG G8X was announced back in September of 2019 and it has now been launched in India.

Starting with the display of the phone, LG G8X features a 6.4-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and pixel count of ~403 ppi. Finger-print sensor lives beneath the display and is an optical one. Second screen comes as a detachable accessory like a flip case included in the box which is a 2.1-inch display that can show the time, date, battery, notifications, etc. The dual screen accessory uses USB C to connect with the phone and has a hinge capable of rotating 360 degrees.

Talking about the cameras, the phone comes with dual camera setup with primary sensor being a 12MP f/1.8 and the secondary camera a 13MP f/2.4 with 136-degree wide-angle field-of-view and no camera hump. In the front, a 32MP selfie camera resides in a water-drop notch.

LG G8X is powered by a Snapdragon 855 processor bundled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The battery used in the phone is a r 4,000mAh cell and features Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and wireless charging.

Other feature of the phone includes a stereo speaker, 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC, and DTS:X 3D Surround Sound and very rare technology found now a days the 3.5mm audio jack.
