OPPO Reno Series Launched in India

OPPO Reno series was launched in India yesterday. The Oppo Reno, Reno 10x Zoom Edition and a 5G variant has been launched in India yesterday during the OPPO Reno Launch Event held in New Delhi. Phones will go on sale in India starting June 7.

 

 

The standout feature of the Reno is the 10x periscope zoom, with its characteristic “sharkfin” pop-up camera. All three versions of the Oppo Reno camera have a 48MP Sony IMX586 1/2-inch sensor and f/1.7 lens as the primary shooter. The two Zoom variants back the primary lenses with a 13MP periscope 10x hybrid zoom camera at f/3.0 as well as an 8MP ultra-wide shooter with 120-degree field of view making it a triple camera setup.

 

 

Talking about the displays, two variants have different display sizes. The regular Reno has a 6.4in OLED panel whereas 10x versions bump that up to a 6.6-inch OLED panel. Excluding the display size and pixel density all other features are same. Those feature incudes Full HD+ with the resolution of 2,340×1,080 and aspect ratio of 19.5:9, Notchless “panoramic” screen, In-display fingerprint scanner, Corning Gorilla Glass 6, and 93.1 percent screen-to-body ratio.

 

 

All three versions use USB-C supporting VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology, dual-frequency GPS (L1+L5), NFC and Bluetooth 5. There’s HyperBoost 2.0 gaming mode, Games Assistant, Game Shock haptics, and three different heat dissipation methods (graphite sheets, copper pipe cooling, and thermal conductive grease paste) for all those gamers out there. All units run ColorOS 6 based on Android 9 Pie. But this is where the similarities between these three phones end. The regular Reno is powered by Snapdragon 710 processor where as 10x version uses Snapdragon 855 to power the device. All other differences between two variants are listed below.

OPPO Reno the regular version with 8GB+128GB is priced at IRS. 32,999 which is equivalent to NPR. 52,800. Oppo Reno 10x Zoom with 6GB+128GB is Priced at IRS. 39,999 and Oppo Reno 10x Zoom with 8GB+256GB is priced at IRS. 49,999 which is equivalent to NPR. 64,000 and 80000 respectively.
