Its been a while since Samsung started teasing its foldable phone and recently we got to see, live images of the device. Now a new leak has surfaced mentioning the release information and availability of the phone.
According to Korea’s Yonhap News Agency, Samsung will be launching the foldable phone, Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 alongside the Galaxy S11 series in February but the foldable phone will be available for sale “immediately” after the event.
It's unclear that, the device will be available in Korea only or will be available globally. It's more likely that the device will be available in Korea first followed by other markets. The report also claims that Samsung is in talks with Korea’s three mobile carriers to release its second foldable smartphone.
Yonhap’s source also adds that the phone, Galaxy Fold 2 price will be set at around mid-$1000 range which is cheaper than the original Galaxy Fold but expensive than the previous speculation of ~$845.
As for Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 Specs, this new foldable smartphone is expected to boast a 6.7-inch display and becomes nearly square when folded. It is also tipped that the device uses ultra-thin glass on the main screen, enabling better scratch resistance.
