Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus Specs and Price

7th August 2019
"There are two variants of the Note this year, Note 10 and Note 10 Plus, Plus variant being the bigger better brother to the Note 10."

Wait is over, the most anticipated device of the year is finally here. Samsung during the unpacked event today, Barclay Center in Brooklyn 4 PM ET (1:45 AM Nepali Time) unveiled the Note 10 and Note 10 Plus devices. This is the 10th Galaxy Note device counting the Galaxy Note Edge.

Talking about the device, it is better than ever before. There are two variants of the Note this year, Note 10 and Note 10 Plus, Plus variant being the bigger better brother to the Note 10. Although most of the features between these devices are similar there are couple of difference that makes them apart. Note 10 features a 6.3-inch 1080p display where as Note 10 Plus feature a 6.8-inch 1440p display, both HDR10+ certified. Samsung has also maintained the ultrasonic fingerprint reader under the display which we got to see for the first time in S10 series phones. The displays also features an Infinity-O display punching a camera hole in the top-center of the device.

There will also be 5G variants of both devices but Note 10 5G will be exclusive to Korea only where as Note 10 Plus 5G will be made available Worldwide. Internal wise, Note 10 and Note 10 Plus have 8GB and 12 GB of RAM respectively and uses UFS 3.0 storage. Both the devices are powered by Snapdragon 855 chipset, no Plus variant of the processor though. Maybe Samsung is saving the Snapdragon 855 Plus for the 5G models.

Providing the energy to the internals and that gorgeous display is a 3,500mAh battery for the Note 10 and 4,300mAh cell for the Note 10 Plus. Both device comes with 25Watt charger but only Note 10 Plus supports 45Watt fast charging, which the customers have to buy separately. Also, Note 10 supports 12-watt wireless charging, while the Note 10 Plus can handle 15-watt wireless charging. Both devices inherit the Wireless Powershare capabilities from the Galaxy S10 series.

Lets talk about the cameras now, both the device features a 10MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture camera which resides in the Infinity-O display punch hole. On the back both the devices have triple camera setup which has ultra-wide 16MP shooter with an f/2.2 aperture and field-of-view of 123 degrees, a wide-angle 12MP shooter with a variable aperture of f/1.5 to f/2.4 and optical image stabilization, and a 12MP telephoto shooter with an aperture of f/2.1 and optical image stabilization with additional camera, specifically designed to detect depth available only in Note 10 Plus.

Note series phone is not complete without the S-pen . This year’s pen is much better and much refined over the last year. S-pen of this year is single piece of plastic, instead of the two-tone design from last year. All the functions from previous year are included with additional new ones. One of which is Air Action, allowing the users to zoom the camera or swipe through your gallery with the S-Pen. You can also zoom in and edit your handwriting, convert it to text, or send it straight to Microsoft Word. Now finally to the sad part of this release, 3.5mm jack is dead. Yes, the latest iteration of the Note device doesn’t come with the headphone jack.

Finally the pricing of the phones, Note 10 and Note 10 Plus price starts at $949 and $1,099 respectively (approximately equivalent to NPR. 1,07,000 and 1,24,000 respectively). Pre-orders open on August 8, 2019, and the phone will go on sale starting August 23, 2019. The Note 10 series will come in four different colors which are Aura Glow, Aura White, Aura Black, and Aura Blue. Aura Blue being exclusive to Samsung.com and Best Buy.
