OPPO earlier this month teased us with the video of under-display camera. It was prediced that the technology would be revealed in MWC. MWC Shanghai 2019 started yesterday in China and with that came the biggest announcement from Oppo.
Oppo introduced its first Under-Screen Camera yesterday. The selfie camera goes under the display, enabling full-screen experience without any notches or moving mechanisms giving the device a cleaner look. To make this technology work Oppo use customized display and camera module. Display above the camera is made of highly-transparent material with redesigned pixel structure. Camera used is also differnet than the usual shooter, it has a large aperture, a big sensor, and greater pixel size to combat any light refraction. Along side Oppo is also using three algorithms to enhance the camera performance.
