Upto Rs 5000 to be fined to the vehicles not following the prohibitory protocol.

Anyone not wearing masks in public and vehicle owners disobeying the prohibitory protocols to be fined upto Rs 5000 according to the new rules.

Anyone going outside during the prohibitory hours set by the governments, without any emergency or legitimate reason is to be fined upto Rs 200. The District Administration Office(DAO) of Kathmandu released a notice mentioning the new regulations against the disobedience of the prohibitory period. 

To contain the further infection of Coronavirus , properly treat the victims and eradicate the virus the government has introduced a specific ordinance. The DAO has implemented the ordinance to aid the government’s fight against the pandemic.

According to the ordinance anyone causing any disturbance to the endeavor against COVID-19 can face imprisonment upto one year or fined upto Rs 500000. DAO has appealed to one to strictly follow the regulations of the ordinance and cooperate with the government. The individuals or organizations found guilty of disobeying the ordinance will face imprisonment or cash fine or both. The ordinance also restricts the transport of medical patients without proper approval from concerned authorities. Such actions shall be charged with Rs 2000 for two wheelers and Rs 5000 for four wheelers.
