Xiaomi bringing 5G connectivity in all its 2020 phones over $285

5G is relatively new wireless technology and implementing it into a smartphone is costly. So very few smartphones has implemented 5G in it and all those phones which has implemented the technology are premium phones. Xiaomi trying to change this by bringing the technology in the mid-range segment.

Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi earlier this year announced that the company is planning to bring at least 10 new smartphones with 5G connectivity. Today during a keynote in Guangzhou, China he added all phones over CNY2,000($285) will have 5G capabilities.

If this is true, all the phones from Xiaomi from 2020 which will cost more than $285 will feature 5G connectivity. This change is most welcome.
