Android Q is coming to our door steps soon and for that Google is working hard. To improve Android Q, Google is developing and integrating many features one of which is Fast Share a local file sharing feature to replace its Android Beam. Now, Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo are joining hands to develop their own file sharing system which will be featured in all their phones.

The news was announced on MIUI Weibo account about the mutual collaboration. According to the post, this feature will be able to transfer files upto 20MB per second and will likely use bluetooth for the initial pairing than switching to WIFI for the transfer. The companies say the new file-sharing standard won’t require any third-party apps, meaning it will be baked into their Android skins and will support various file format.

Three companies also added they are looking forward to more vendors backing the standard. The feature will be available at the end of the month but no compatible phones were announced.
