One of the most respected business houses of Nepal – IME Group has appointed Hemant Puranik as CEO of their Automobile Division (IME Motors Pvt. Ltd., IME Automotives Pvt Ltd., and Ashok LT Engineering Services Pvt. Ltd). 

Fuelled by the vision of making a mark in the ever-growing automobile industry of Nepal, IME Group is taking aggressive steps to grow the business, and the appointment of Mr. Hemant Puranik as CEO is one of them.

Hemant Puranik has 24 years of outstanding experience with 360-degree exposure to the Automobile Industry in managing overall operations & resources in the most effective manner.

In his previous stint, he has worked with OEM Tata Motors for approximately 23 years and has handled various roles in 11 different countries (including Nepal).

It is worth noting that he was instrumental in turning around the business of Tata Motors passenger vehicles in Nepal with an aggressive management style, innovative marketing strategies, launches of new models, and expansion of the network.

It is during his tenure that Tata vehicles came into the consideration set of new buyers which resulted in a substantial jump in the market share.

He was also instrumental in the successful launch of the premium hatchback Tata Altroz in India, which is quite a successful brand now and is available only after a long waiting period. 

After a successful stint with Tata Motors, he became the CEO of “theeGO” which is an importer and Distributor of various electric vehicles in Nepal.

Over the last almost 1.5 years he guided the company in the right direction and made theeGO a known brand in a short span of time.

Under his strategic guidance and effective organization capabilities, theeGO has already sold off the first few lots of shipments. 

After the above two successful stints in Nepal, now Mr. Puranik has taken up a new challenge.

He is known to be a taskmaster with a passion for Automobiles and an attitude of bringing the team together.
