Inauguration of Civil Bank's Khurkhure branch

Civil Bank, operating with the slogan Civil Bank for Prosperity, has started a new branch in Khurkhure.

The inauguration of Khurkhure branch was done by the city head of Rapti Municipality Prabha Baral.

In lieu of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, only a  minimum number of people were present at the event. 

Speaking at the event the chief guest Prabha Baral expressed that this new branch of the bank will be of great help in increasing the financial reach and financial level of Khurkhure.

Expressing her gratitude towards Civil Bank for creating and expanding job and business opportunities, Ms. Prabha Baral urged the local people to take loans with the bank to start or continue their business ideas and to also increase their capitals by depositing them with the bank and get the interests. 

The host of the event and head of Civil Bank region 2, Biswhash Aryal said that the bank is people's trusted companion for financial prosperity and that financial prosperity is not possible without the bank's participation.

He also mentioned that Civil Bank will provide high-level banking services to local entrepreneurs, businessmen by rolling out home loans, vehicle loans, and education loans to support the local population and economics. 

With more than 5,00,000 customers, 114 branches, 9 extension counters, 89 ATMs, Civil Bank has Rs 89 billion deposits in operation and provided Rs 83 billion in loans till now.

Civil Bank signs a MoU with iSON.

"The agreement was signed by the bank to provide special health coverage to their customers and employees at different hospitals associated with iSON in seven countries."

Civil Bank and iSON has signed an official agreement with iSON for cooperation with each other.

The agreement was signed by Bhola Bahadur Bista, Deposit and Transaction Banking head from the bank and Arati Shrestha, Business Development Manager from iSON.

The agreement was signed by the bank to provide special health coverage to their customers and employees at different hospitals associated with iSON in seven countries.

According to the agreement, customers, employees, and their family members of Civil Bank will now receive a 7 % discount for the first treatment and an additional 5 % discount for the second treatment at 64 hospitals associated with iSON in 7 countries.

Civil Bank extends its help towards Surendra Dhakal Foundation to facilitate community schools

"Deputy Chief Executive of Civil Bank Sunil Kumar Pokhrel had handed over the donation to the chairman of the foundation, Surendra Dhakal."

Civil Bank, under its social responsibility program is has handed over a cash donation to Surendra Dhakal Foundation, in an event, for the upliftment of community schools.

Operating with the slogan; "Civil Bank for Prosperity", Civil Bank is currently serving more than 5 lakhs customers through

114 branches, 8 extension counters, 89 ATMs all across the country and it has more than 82 billion operational funds and 72 billion operational loans.

Sunil Kumar Pokhrel has been appointed the new CEO of Civil Bank.

"Mr. Govind Gurung who took the position of Deputy Chief Executive from 21 Asoj 2069 B.S. was appointed the CEO of Civil Bank on 11 Shrawan 2074 B.S."

There have been some major alterations in the leadership of Civil Bank.

Current Deputy Chief Executive Sunil Kumar Pokhrel has been appointed the role of CEO of the bank.

Resignation by Mr. Govinda Gurung from the position of CEO has been approved by the board of directors in a meeting held on 5th of Baisakh to be implicated from 18th Baisakh. 

Mr. Govind Gurung who took the position of Deputy Chief Executive from 21 Asoj 2069 B.S. was appointed the CEO of Civil Bank on 11 Shrawan 2074 B.S.

Through the change management, the bank has increased the volume of business by making major improvements in institutional rites, functional rites, loan quality, and institutional structures, in recent years. 

When Mr. Govinda was appointed as the CEO, the bank's deposit amount was Rs 33,81,00,00,000, the loan amount was Rs 31,19,00,00,000, inactive loan ratio of 4.66%, and branch number was 51

Currently bank's deposit amount is Rs 87,89,00,00,000, loan amount is 81,44,00,00,000, inactive loan ratio is 1.70% and branch number reached 114

Unique Finance and Hama Merchant and Finance Merger also occurred in his tenure. 

Chairman of the bank Iccha Raj Tamang and the Board of directors have expressed their appreciation and respect for all the contributions by Mr. Govinda in his tenure. 

They also congratulated Mr. Govinda for becoming the first CEO of a foreign bank in Nepal and expressed good wishes for the future.
