With their demands properly addressed in the recent budget announcement, Nepal Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) has welcomed the budget with open arms.
NADA says the government has acknowledged almost all the suggestions and issues raised by them. This creates a better environment for their business to flourish. As the government has brought down the customs rate in the electric vehicles, they will become cheaper in Nepal. Moreover, the announcement of building 500 charging stations and providing land for assembling electric vehicles are the major hits with auto dealers.
For environment friendly development, and promoting the usage of EVs in Nepal, all the fuel based vehicles are to be replaced with electric vehicles by 2088 B.S. , is where the government’s plan is headed towards. NADA supports this decision and will be fully cooperating with the government in this endeavor.
The association also praised the government’s plan of bringing 10 international auto companies to Nepal for production of EVs in the country. NADA is also happy with the plan of installing 500 EV charging stations and other infrastructures all over Nepal. Furthermore, the decision of providing 90% income tax exemption to those who does minimum transactions of Rs 2,00,000, 75% for the transaction of 20 to 50 lakhs, and 50% to the transaction of 50 lakhs to 1 crore transaction, has offered a sense of relief to businesses, says NADA.
