Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro launched in India alongside MIUI 11. Xiaomi is very popular in India, especially in its budget section. It is so popular that the Note 7 Series became the best-selling product and sold over 100 million devices globally. Now Xiaomi has launched the Note 8 series in the country to hopefully continue the streak.

Talking about the changes in the lineup, the most important one has to be the shift from Snapdragon SoCs to the new gaming-oriented MediaTek Helio G90T SoC in the Note 8 Pro. Performance and public response are yet to be seen on the change. Another change in this year's lineup is the use of UFS 2.1 for storage and the addition of microSD card support up to 512GB in the Indian version. On the other hand Note, 8 gets the familiar Snapdragon 665 SoC.
Pricing of the devices, Redmi Note 8 Pro is priced at IRS. 13,999 for 6GB/64GB variant, 15,999 for 6GB/128GB variant and 17,999 for 8GB/128GB which is equivalent to NPR. 24,000, 25,600 and 28,800 respectively. Whereas Redmi Note 8 is priced at IRS. 11,999 for 4GB/64GB variant and 12,999 for the 6GB/128GB variant which is equivalent to NPR. 18,000 and 20,800 respectively.
