Xiaomi patent phone featuring popup camera with upto 7 sensors

Back to back patents from Xiaomi are surfacing, first the patent for wrap around display phone and now phone with popup camera housing both front and rear-facing cameras.
A Patent authorized by CNIPA (China National Intellectual Property Administration) recently surfaced in which Xiaomi has taken a different approach to the pop-up camera design. This design from Xiaomi places both the front and rear-facing camera sensors on the same pop-up mechanism.
In the patent, we see three variants of the phone, first one being a phone with dual camera on the front and back, the second one is a dual camera on the front and triple camera on the back and last one is a dual-camera setup on the front and Penta camera setup on the back. Yes, you read it right, five cameras on the back of a pop-up mechanism.
“Is it even possible to cram that amount of sensors in such a small space?”, we will have to wait and see. But a phone with such form factor would be amazing.
