Keep your Home Glass Windows Shiny | Tips |

12th January 2022
"When we clean windows, we find ourselves wiping for hours on end with no clarity."

When we clean windows, we find ourselves wiping for hours on end with no clarity. Glass will still seem fuzzy, with some visible streaks and a smear on the opposite end.

Here are some tips to keep your home windows shiny:

Use Cold Water

There's a controversy going on regarding whether you should clean your windows with warm or cold water. But consider it. Warm water evaporates fast, leaving mineral deposits on the glass.

Coldwater makes your windows clean. Moreover, all you get with cold water is clean, clean windows.

Use the Right Tools

To make your windows sparkle, you'll need the correct tools. The squeegee is the pinnacle of window washing instruments and a must-have for professional window cleaners.

You won't have to re-wipe previously cleaned areas using squeegees.

All you have to do is spray your cleaning solution on the glass windows, rinse with water, then wipe away with the squeegee.

Use the Proper Cleaner

The difference between clean, gleaming windows and a mess can be determined by the type of cleaner used.

Some window cleaners on the market today are often overly powerful, causing harm to your glass. Some industrial cleaners are still worthwhile, but they may be out of your price range.

If you don't have any professional cleaners, you may make your own by combining 1 part vinegar and 1 part tap water in a spray bottle for optimum cleaning power.

Remove Stubborn Water Stains

Water evaporates from a wet glass surface, leaving behind minerals that were previously dissolved in water.

This is referred to as hard water. Water with high calcium and magnesium content is referred to as hard water.

These deposits are what generate difficult-to-remove water stains on glass and other surfaces.

When dealing with hard water, there are numerous cleaning agents that you can use to clear away all mineral deposits like vinegar and kinds of toothpaste.

Cleaning tips for taking care of your Makeup brushes

18th October 2020
"Keep the makeup brushes clean in order to prevent your skin from acne and breakouts."

Bacterial infections are likely to grow and contaminate our skin if we do not take care of the brushes and sponges we use often as part of our makeup routine. Did you know, for instance, that dirty brushes can induce acne, close pores, and accumulate contaminants on the skin?

So, here are a few tips for managing to safely use your beauty products.

With brushes

Makeup brushes collect millions of germs that can get dirty and infect the skin. That is why keeping them as smooth as possible is so crucial. Furthermore, with the same brush, you would not end up with a combination of colours. Ideally, after using them, you can clean them. If you do not have much time, at least every other week, do not forget to clean them.

Depending on their attributes, makeup brushes should not be washed in the same way:

Natural hair brushes: primarily for powder coatings

With soapy water, rinse them and let them dry. When they are still damp, be careful not to put them in a vertical position, as their wooden wand might get broken. Once a month, you should also add a conditioner to your brushes, so that they stay flexible and smooth.

Brushes made from synthetic hair: for oleaginous items in particular

Wash it with such a solvent that is non-alcoholic. There are several leave-on cleaning methods, for instance, that can be added straight to your brush with a soft cloth.

Makeup sponges

Single-use sponges are the most hygienic. However, if you would rather use reusable sponges, do not forget to disinfect them with a bit of washing-up liquid and a drop of disinfecting alcohol. You can also clean them with baby lotion or micellar water. Leave the sponge to dry before putting it away or using it again.

Brushes for lipsticks and foundation

For those of you that apply lipstick with a brush, it is important to keep it clean. To disinfect it, use a damp cloth soaked with alcohol to give it a boost of radiance. No need to clean it too often: once a month should do.

Makeup bags

They contain all your most precious treasures, but they are often neglected when it comes to cleaning, while in fact, germs and bacteria contaminate your accessories every day. To solve this problem, clean yours completely on a regular basis (every 2 to 3 months) or just put it in the washing machine. In the meantime, refresh it with a face wipe.

Regular household items can be used to clean the kitchen rather than using expensive products. Here are some tips :

Clean oven

Firstly, preheat your oven for a few minutes and squeeze the citrus juice (lemons or oranges) onto a baking tray. Then, add water halfway up your dish and Put the tray in the oven for 30 minutes. Remove the tray after the oven cools down and then scrub the walls of the oven.

Oven

Moreover, it will make the scrubbing much easier than you are used to as the citrus juice will have loosened the dirt. Finally, wipe down the sides of the oven with the remaining water from your dish.

Clean sink

Firstly, remove all dishes or food scraps and wipe down the sink with soapy warm water. Then, create a paste of water and baking soda (to make stainless steel sinks sparkle) and apply it to the sink. After that, rinse with vinegar to create a bubbly effect that naturally disinfects the sink.

Finally, leave to dry and drop olive oil on a lint-free kitchen cloth to wipe the sink.

Clean kitchen floors

Just take two cups of warm water, five to ten small drops of essential oil, three dashes of natural liquid dish soap, one-quarter of a cup of rubbing alcohol, and half a cup of white vinegar.
