Mistakes to Avoid While Selling Your House

13th February 2022
"Selling your home may be a time-consuming and emotionally draining experience, especially if you've never done it before."

Selling your home may be a time-consuming and emotionally draining experience, especially if you've never done it before. It is common for first-time home sellers to make numerous blunders.

Many of these hazards, though, can be avoided with little knowledge.

Setting an Unrealistic Price

Setting the correct asking price is critical whether you're working with an agency or going it alone. Homes that are overvalued rarely sell.

You may think your property is worth more, but remember to set a reasonable price based on comparable homes in the region.

Hiding Major Problems

During the buyer's inspection, any problems will be discovered. When it comes to dealing with problems, you have three options. Solve the problem ahead of time, price the property below market value to account for it, or advertise the property at market value and offer the buyer a credit to fix the problem.

If you don't address the issue ahead of time, you may lose a significant proportion of purchasers looking for a flawless home.

Not Accommodating Buyers

If someone wants to look at your house, you must accommodate them, even if it is inconvenient for you. And, certainly, you must clean and tidy the house before each and every visit.

A buyer won't notice or care if your house was spotless the week before. It's a lot of work, but keep your eyes on the prize.

Electrical Safety Tips for your Home

2nd December 2021
"Electricity should never be taken lightly. Not at all!"

Electricity should never be taken lightly. Not at all! We are all aware of this but sometimes even after knowing we tend to make some mistakes which result in unfortunate problems and situations.

So to avoid those situations, today in this article we will be talking about basic electrical safety for our home:

Keep a Fire Extinguisher

This thing is not generally found in a Nepalese home. But remember this is one of the most important things you need to have in your house because you never know when you might need it!

Avoid Using Electrical Items in Wet Areas

This mistake is done by half of us we use electrical items with wet hands or in wet areas. Remember, Electricity and water do not mix, so don’t allow them to come in contact with each other.

Dust Your Appliances

We all know how much we ignore these things but they shouldn’t be ignored at all!

Dusting your appliances from time to time is very important because dust can cause blockages in your appliance and result in a breakdown and even cause fire sometimes! So, keep your electrical appliances free from dust.

Don’t Overload PowerPoints

Overloading your sockets with multiple appliances is never a good idea. Each socket has a maximum level of amperage it can handle.

Moreover, the more plugs that are connected to one socket, the more power you’re demanding from just one outlet and there is a chance that it could result in a short circuit and even a fire.

Replace Damaged Plugs

This is the most important thing you need to think about and check from time to time.

Plugs should be monitored for damage, particularly for older appliances that might have experienced more wear and tear from regular use than your newer appliances so that you and your house is safe from unfortunate electrical situations.

Turn It Off when not in use

This should be the strict rule to be followed by you and your members in your home. If you are not using an appliance, turn it off or unplug it completely.

Also, never, ever leave heat-based appliances unattended. This includes heaters, hairdryers, and hair straighteners because these could easily overheat, potentially causing a fire.
