Basic Motorcycle Tools To Include In Your Tool Kit

13th February 2022
"If you're just getting started with DIY motorcycle maintenance, you'll need some basic motorcycle tools."

The pride and empowerment that comes from maintaining your motorcycle extend not only to your riding experience but also to other aspects of your life.

If you're just getting started with DIY motorcycle maintenance, you'll need some basic motorcycle tools.

Tire pressure gauge

This is possibly the most crucial tool in your motorbike maintenance toolbox. Proper tire inflation is crucial to your motorcycle's safety and performance. Our link to the road is provided by the two little contact patches we ride on.

ccAll of the forces of acceleration, braking, and leaning are handled by these palm-sized pieces of the tire tread.

Screwdrivers

Flat and Phillips's heads are included in this high-quality screwdriver set. Long and short shafts and handles, multiple tip sizes are available, with magnetic tips as an added bonus.

Angle screwdrivers can also be a valuable addition to your screwdriver collection.

Oil catch pan

Select an oil catch container that will fit beneath the motorcycle at the drain plug and filter placement. To remove the drain plug or filter, you should be able to fit your gloved hand between the motorcycle and the oil catch pan.

The catch pan's capacity should be sufficient to hold more than your motorcycle's oil capacity.

Consider how you'll store spent oil until it can be recycled responsibly—some oil catch pans serve as storage containers.

Motorcycle stand

Many motorcycles are only outfitted with a side stand. Some motorcycle maintenance tasks are easier and more convenient when the motorcycle is upright, which is why center stands are useful. There is a diverse range of aftermarket stands available.

Some may necessitate the addition of adaptors to your motorcycle. If you decide to buy a center stand, make sure it's compatible with your motorcycle.

When putting a motorbike on a stand, always proceed with caution—inadequate use might result in injury or damage to the motorcycle.

Winter motorcycle gear for women

29th December 2021
"Whether riding as a passenger or riding the motorcycle, women will need to wear the appropriate gear to ensure their safety."

What should a woman wear on a motorcycle? Whether riding as a passenger or riding the motorcycle, women will need to wear the appropriate gear to ensure their safety. Male or female, injury prevention should always be considered among motorcyclists.

Helmets

First and foremost, every woman riding a motorcycle should always wear a helmet no matter how short of a ride it is.

And it should always be a full-face helmet and never a half helmet. It's important to wear a helmet when you ride.

A helmet protects you from noise, rain, snow, hail, and bugs. It could also save your life and keep your head warm during winter.

Eye protection

Most riders have visors on their helmets. Those who don’t should have some eye protection gear, like goggles or sunglasses.

Getting fragments of gravel, dust, or any other kind of debris in your eyes can cause discomfort, itchiness, or uncontrollable blinking while riding.

Eye goggles or sunglasses also protect you from flying bugs, wind, sunlight glare, or rain.

Other riders prefer to wear an open-face helmet, along with some sort of eye protection instead, which is just as fine.

Tank Bag Purse

You'll want to travel light when you head out on the road, but you'll still need a way to carry your stuff, so instead of a bulky purse, you can have a comfortable ride with the help of Tang or a side bag purse.

In the in-tank bag, you can store your keys, cell phone, garage door opener, sunscreen, and other personal items.

Hair Accessories

Nowadays, there are a whole lot of options available in the market and one of them is protective caps.

Silk caps can be used to protect your hair from further damage while wearing your helmet.

When you will protect your hair in a cap, it will no longer come in contact with the harsh surface of the helmet and it will automatically stay safe and secure within the cap’s cozy comfort.

Or else you can cover the inside lining of the helmet with a soft silky cloth which will keep you warm.

Motorcycle jacket

Jackets are one of the best riding gears for every rider. This keeps you comfortable for riding even if you want to long ride.

If you love motorcycle riding then you must use a bike riding jacket. It not only keeps you safe while being in an accident.

But it also will protect you from particles while riding. These motorcycle jackets are better for cold weather but you can use them in the summer season also.

Inspired Things To Do With Your Motorcycle This Weekend

11th February 2022
"Make the most of your free time with our weekend motorcycling guide."

Make the most of your free time with our weekend motorcycling guide.

Here are some ideas for activities to do on your motorcycle journey weekends.

Change It Up

There are so many different bikes out there, and each class and style provides its owner a unique set of joys. If you spend your entire riding career focusing on one style, you're missing out.

If you have the financial means to possess multiple different types of motorcycles at the same time, that's great, but if not, don't hesitate to sell or trade-in your wheels for something new every few years to keep things interesting.

Visit Motorcycle Show

In my city, there is a major event when all of the different motorcycle manufacturers join together under one roof to present the new models for the year. They’re in almost every major city, so check out where and when the next one to you is.

It's a fantastic opportunity to see what's new and have accessories displayed in front of you by specialists.

Own Maintenance

Doing your own basic maintenance on bikes is simple for the most part, and it will help you be safer.

You'll notice things about your ride before each journey since you'll be more in tune with it mechanically and will spot possible problems before they happen.

Learning to be a bit handy will help you develop your knowledge while also increasing your self-confidence.

Get Some Riding Buddies

Some riders prefer to ride alone, but I don't know many of them. In general, riding a motorcycle with a group of like-minded people is twice as much fun.

That's when you'll discover new places and see things you've never seen before. A group's experience is far superior to a single individual's.

There is also safety in numbers in the event that someone has mechanical problems or simply runs out of gas.
