Renault, Nepal, today announced the launch of the All-New KWID.  

The all-new KWID is bolder, more stylish, and comes loaded with many first-in-class features. The all-new KWID is available in 1.0L SCe (Smart Control efficiency) powertrains with manual and automated transmission options. 

The new SUV-Inspired front face is accentuated by a new signature lighting - SUV-styled low mounted headlamps. The key element on the front face is the first-in-class silver streak LED DRLs. Also tail lamps with LED light guides.

SUV attributes are also highlighted by bigger R14 volcano grey muscular multi-spoke wheels, SUV skid plates, and a ground clearance of 184 mm. The KWID is a 5 seater Hatchback and has a length of 3731mm, a width of 1579mm, and a wheelbase of 2422mm.

A new interior harmony with a new sporty steering wheel and sporty orange white upholstery complements the striking exteriors. Also comes loaded with a first-in-class LED digital instrument cluster, a floor console-mounted AMT dial, and a 20.32 cm Touchscreen.

Depending upon the variant and fuel type the KWID has a mileage of 23.01 to 25.17 kmpl.

We had seen Renault flaunting its Triber in the NADA Auto Show, Nepal 2019. Renault Triber was launched in India at the end of August. We approached their representative and they said that it could launch any day soon. With desperate wait and anticipation, we finally got to see the Renault Triber getting launched in Nepal where Renault Triber price in Nepal was also revealed.

The Renault Triber car is a 7-seat Car, fit for big families. As an auto-journalist, I have noticed people with big families often facing difficulties with limited seats in the car. Renault is going to bring the first sub four meter SUV, Renault Kiger. The company plans to start selling in the Indian market by next Dipawali.

The company is producing the HBC-coded SUV, which is less than 4 meters short, on the CMF-A Plus platform of Nissan-Renault-Mitsubishi. The company has brought Renault Tribe to the market on this platform. The company is going to name it Kiger.

The MBC, which comes in a very small engine, will have a 1.0-liter regular engine and a 1.0-liter turbocharged engine. The Renault Tribe's three-cylinder BR-10 petrol engine delivers a maximum of 72bh of power and 96Nm of torque, while the new 1.0-liter three-cylinder HR10 engine delivers a maximum of 95bh.

Renault has not released any information about the new engine. It is not yet known which gearbox will be manual or automatic.

The price of Renault Kiger starts at Rs. 5.84 Lakh and goes up to Rs. 10.40 Lakh.

Models like Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Breza, Hyundai Venue, and Mahindra XUV will compete in this segment. It is estimated to be slightly cheaper than the Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue available in Nepal at the lowest prices.

Renault products are being sold and distributed by Advance Automobile in the Nepali market. The company has been selling Renault Kwid, Renault Duster, Renault Capture and Renault Tribe. Thus, Renault's new SUV is sure to come to Nepal.

The Renault Duster Turbo made its first public appearance at this year’s edition of the Auto Expo. Renault is now set to launch the most powerful version of the Duster in August 2020. The model will feature slightly sportier aesthetics and a brand new 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol. With the launch of the Turbo variant, a CVT auto will also be reintroduced in the Duster’s lineup.

It gets red colour inserts on the front grille, fog lamp housing as well as on the Duster badging on the tailgate and roof rails. It will also get redesigned 17-inch alloys, a size bigger than the standard model.

Renault Duster Turbo- Engine

The new engine is good for 156PS and 254Nm, that is 50PS and 112Nm more than the standard Duster petrol. It is even more powerful and torquier than the previously offered 1.5-litre diesel engine (110PS/245Nm).

The Duster Turbo will come equipped with a 6-speed MT and a 7-step CVT. On the other hand, the regular Duster is offered with a 1.5-litre petrol engine (106PS/142Nm) mated to a 5-speed MT. This is the same engine that was recently introduced with the Nissan Kicks.

Renault Duster Turbo- Features

The Duster Turbo will come with new features such as cabin pre-cool via remote functionality, idle auto engine start-stop and a bigger 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Apart from that, the more powerful version of the Duster will carry forward existing equipment list including projector headlamps with LED DRLs, four speakers and two tweeters, and cruise control. Safety features on offer are likely to include dual front airbags, reverse parking camera, and hill start assist.
