Reviews
The Burgman we get is the Burgman junior. The senior Burgman is a 400cc engine powered scooter which we don’t really see in the Nepalese market. So this bulky, chunky Suzuki Burgman 125 cc is the ultimate Burgman here.
Suzuki Burgman Street Review (Full Specification)
Here is the Full review of Suzuki Burgman Street 125 with all the detailed specification and images of the scooter.
Suzuki Burgman Street Front
The Scooter has got a LED headlight and DRL and the Suzuki logo right in between. The windshield on the top of the headlight makes it distinct from other scooters. The sidelights are angular and sharp. The scooter has got the combined braking system, which means that it links the front and rear brakes and lets the rider's action of depressing one of the brake levers applies both front and rear brakes.
Suzuki Burgman Street Brakes and Foot Board
The frontal wheel of Suzuki Burgman Street get a disc brake. The flexi foot-forward seating feature for a long ride and comfortable seating position. The foot board has quite a decent space. There is wide clip-on handle bars, which we usually don’t get to see in other scooters.
Suzuki Burgman Street Features
Burgman Street Features include, the multi-functioning digital console that shows speed, trip, fuel gauze, kilometers covered and time. The scooter comes with two storage pockets. The left pocket gets a 12V DC charging socket with glove box. The right one can be used to store small items, but it looks perfect to keep a litre of bottle. It gets a Burgman Street 3D logo in the side.
Suzuki Burgman Street Boot and Styling
In this Suzuki Burgman Street scooter, the under-seat boot opens from the front. The boot space is 21.5 litres which can store a half helmet and small-sized full-faced helmet. The big size helmets don’t really fit in. The petrol tank is under the seat and the tank storage capacity is 5.6 litres. The scooter gets a full grab rail which is convenient for the pillion rider. The backlight appears to be stylish with chrome garnishing and the sidelights are merged with it. The Suzuki logo is enshrined right below it.
The scooter comes with a 125cc engine. The rear tyre gets a drum brake. The wheelbase of the scooter is 1,465 mm. The exhaust comes in a dual tone colour which looks pretty stylish. The scooter gets sharp cuts and creases to make it look sporty and stylish. We can see SEP written just below the Burgman logo. The SEP stands for Suzuki Eco Performance. It is a technology that provides low fuel consumption and superior acceleration. The footrest are silver plated and it really looks premium.
Don’t go for the looks, it only looks bulky but is lightweight. It only weighs around 108 kg. In fact, it is 6 kg heavier than Suzuki Access, and 8 kg lighter than TVS Ntorq. However, the bulkiness is a disadvantage in the traffic. You can’t really swing in between the cars to get out of the traffic as the other scooters do. But the proportion and the feature of Flexi foot-forward make your seating position comfortable in long rides. In spite of the masculine body, it appears that Burgman skipped the leg days. The tyres are too small in comparison to the body.
Suzuki Burgman Street Engine
The 125 cc engine provides the maximum power of 8.7 ps @ 7000 rpm and a peak torque of 10.2 Nm @ 5000 rpm. To those of you who are not familiar with the terms like maximum power and peak torque, we have got you covered. (What is max power and peak torque?) The initial pickup is amazing. The scooter is smooth but we can feel a little vibration coming from the body. When taken to off-road, there are slight jerks but they are very considerable. The ground clearance of the scooter is 160 mm which is a standard for almost all scooters.
Suzuki Burgman Fuel Tank Capacity and Mileage
The fuel tank capacity of the scooter is 5.6 litres and the mileage provided by the bike is around 40 kmpl, which varies according to the riding style and the road condition. The seat height is 780 mm which can be a bit inconvenient to the small height riders.
