Pawan Munjal, Chairman of Hero MotoCorp, was seen standing next to the new electric scooter during the company’s live-stream event of its ten-year celebrations.

The world's largest two-wheeler manufacturer, which celebrated its tenth anniversary on Monday, seems ready to bring in its first electric model for the Indian market soon.

Pawan Munjal did not share much detail about the upcoming electric scooter. However, during the event, Munjal said that it is expected to be unveiled soon.

The design of the electric scooter in the version shown in the teaser appears quite sleek. It gets a curved body design with a combination of white and black colours, a flyscreen, and a long seat that appears spacious enough to accommodate two easily.

The electric scooter also gets a 12-inch wheel on the front and a 10-inch wheel on the back.

Hero's new electric scooter will compete with Bajaj Chetak electric, Ather 450X, and TVS iQube among others when launched.

The Hero MotoCorp electric scooter is likely to go on sale later this year or early next year.

Reiterating its commitment to an exciting and safe product portfolio, Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, today launched an updated version of the highly popular Super Splendor motorcycle. 

Commenting on the launch, Rajat Bhargava, Head - Global Business, Hero MotoCorp, said, “We are delighted to launch the Super Splendor with IBS for our customers in Nepal. The Super Splendor is one of the most popular motorcycles in the country and we are certain this sentiment and trust on the brand will only grow for this motorcycle, which is now safer than before.”

The Super Splendor is now even more safe and secure with the addition of the Integrated Braking System (IBS). The IBS is an enhanced safety feature that enables the distribution of brake action between the front and rear brakes when the rear brake is applied. This ensures additional safety for the rider in all conditions.  

The Super Splendor has been designed and developed at the Hero MotoCorp’s state-of-the-art R&D centre, the Centre of Innovation and Technology, in Jaipur, India. With this launch, Hero MotoCorp has reaffirmed its focus on providing premium, top-quality and safe products to its customers.

Super Splendor Performance 

The Super Splendor ticks all the right boxes with its performance and durability, in addition to the trust, reliability and fuel efficiency that are distinct to the brand. The motorcycle comes with an Air-cooled, 4-stroke single cylinder 124.7cc engine that produces a maximum power output of 6.72 kW (9.0 bhp) @ 7000 rpm and maximum torque of 10.35 Nm @ 4000 rpm. 

Super Splendor Ride and Control 

The Super Splendor reaches a maximum speed of 90 km/h. It also comes packed with a series of utility and comfort features, such as Side Stand Indicator, 18-inch wide alloy wheels, comfortable seat profile, large capacity fuel tank (13 ltrs.) and with an additional storage utility box in front under the tank.

The Super Splendor offers a unique style-quotient and comes with modern graphics in five premium metallic colours – Black with Grey, Candy Blazing Red, Black with Red stripes, Black with Violet stripes and Ebony Grey.

The Super Splendor with IBS will be available at authorized Hero showrooms across Nepal at the attractive prices of Rs.1,98,000 (Self-Drum Alloy wheel).

Everest Premier League (EPL) has secured Bajaj Pulsar as its title sponsor for EPL T20 cricket leauge, which is scheduled to begin from September 25 at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground. 

Bajaj Pulsar has always promoted sports in Nepal and aims to continue the work. “Bajaj Pulsar has always been love of Nepali youth, in recent years Cricket has also become the passion of Nepali youth. Hence, we have decided to be the title sponsor of Nepal’s biggest Cricket league EPL. We have always promoted sports in Nepal, have been sponsoring sports awards for years. The fourth version of the tournament is expected to last for 14 days and comprises six teams owned by some of Nepal’s powerful industrialists. Biratnagar Warriors, Kathmandu Kings XI, Pokhara Rhinos, Lalitpur Patriots, Chitwan Tigers and Bhairahawa Gladiators will be competing for the league trophy. 

There are also some players who have earned quite a name for themselves and will be taking part in the competition. Some of the star players to watch out for in the Bajaj Pulsar EPL 2021 are Shahid Afridi (Pakistan), Shoaib Malik (Pakistan) and Carlos Braithwaite (West Indies), among many others. 

The competition is said to be beneficial for cricket in Nepal as young players will also get a chance to play and compete alongside international talents.
