Mahindra & Mahindra is gearing up to reveal the much-anticipated XUV700 SUV in the coming weeks. A dedicated website for the upcoming 6-seater SUV has gone live ahead of its official debut, where interested customers can sign up for the latest updates. The Mahindra XUV700 will be the production version of the W601 project, which is set to launch in the third quarter of 2021 (i.e. between July and September). It will compete against the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, and the upcoming Hyundai Alcazar in this segment.

The new Mahindra 7-seater SUV will be manufactured at the carmaker's Chakan plant in Pune, Maharashtra. The XUV700 will be a spiritual successor to the XUV500. The SUV will be based on the same platform as the new Thar and will have a better design, advanced technologies, and more powerful engines than its predecessor. It will, in fact, be larger and more spacious than the XUV500.

As previously stated, the new Mahindra SUV will include ADAS (advanced driver assistance system), an autonomous braking system, a radar system, 3D panoramic vision for the driver, and an eyelid tracking mechanism.

The new Mahindra XUV700 SUV will be available with a new 2.0L turbo mStallion petrol engine and a 2.2L mHawk diesel engine. The gasoline engine will produce 190bhp, making it the most powerful SUV in its class. The oil burner will produce close to 185bhp. There will be two transmissions available: a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.

A 5,000mAh battery powers the Galaxy M42 5G, providing up to 36 hours of talk time on a single charge. The box includes a 15W charger. The phone includes Samsung Knox security. It also has NFC, which allows users to make contactless payments using Samsung Pay.

Mahindra and Mahindra today reported the worldwide NCAP ratings for the XUV300, which took place in Germany as of late. The sub-4 meter SUV was launched in February 2019 and now it is one of the safest SUV in the market, with a 5-star Global NCAP rating. Every one of the vehicles needs a pre-essential side-impact performance test to accomplish a 5-star safety rating, and the XUV300 is on the highest point of all the 5-star evaluated autos with regards to scoring points.

The protection offered to the driver and passenger’s head and neck was good. The driver’s chest showed adequate protection while the passenger’s chest received good protection.

 The vehicle has standard SBR for driver and passenger. The car has standard ABS.

Child Occupant:

The child seat for the 3-year-old was installed FWF with ISOFIX and top tether and was able to prevent excessive forward movement during the impact offering fair protection to the chest.

The 18-month-old CRS was installed with ISOFIX and support leg and protection offered to the 1.5-year-old dummy was good.

The recommended CRSs did not show incompatibility. The vehicle offers standard ISOFIX and top tether anchorages in the 2 outboard rear seats and does not offer 3 point belts in all seating positions.

The car offers a passenger airbag disconnection switch in case an RWF CRS needs to be installed in the front passenger seat.

The new-generation Mahindra Thar has been finally unveiled and the off-roader takes a quantum leap over the current model. All-New Thar Design

The All-New Thar stays true to the iconic 2-door silhouette but adds purposeful and contemporary touches and design elements to it. With a wider, better-balanced stance and a choice of hard top and convertible rooftop options, the All-New Thar imposes its presence wherever it goes.

The petrol is a 2-litre unit which churns out 150 bhp and 320 Nm while the diesel is a 2.2-litre unit making 130 bhp. · The car also gets new gearbox options: 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission & 6-speed manual transmission mated to an authentic manual shift-on-the-fly 4x4 transfer case. The AX Series will only be available with manual transmission on both the petrol and diesel, while the LX Series will see the diesel get a manual and automatic transmission but the petrol will only be available with an automatic.
