On March 23, OnePlus will host a launch event for the new OnePlus 9 series. Something else is also in the works for the business. OnePlus recently released a video that almost confirms the company's plans to release a new smartwatch soon.

In addition, the company has published a blog that contains several clues about the forthcoming smartwatch. The blog titled "Watch this space for something new" states, "As the clock is ticking down to the launch of our latest flagship, we’re excited to bring you an exclusive Community announcement... it’s time for something new. This fresh addition to the OnePlus family is healthy, punctual and even takes care of you while you sleep."

The blog does hint that the smartwatch will have a few health trackers, such as sleep monitoring and heart rate measurement, which are popular in most smartwatches.
Apart from this information, OnePlus hasn't disclosed much. However, the company's photos suggest that the watch would have a circular dial.

The Chinese brand is also holding a contest in which contestants must guess what the product is, with only incorrect answers being accepted. The winners of the contest will receive nine OnePlus items.

OnePlus will also introduce the OnePlus 9 series of smartphones, which will include one 'Pro' model and one non-Pro model. A Hasselblad camera will be included in the Pro edition.

With festive season getting near, Oppo has unveiled two new mid-range smartphone targeting this dashain and tihar. The devices launched are the Oppo A9 2020 and the toned-down version the Oppo A5 2020.

 

Oppo A9 2020

Newly launched A9 2020 is a mid-range phone featuring a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD display  with the resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and aspect ratio of 19.5:9. powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor bundled  with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The device also comes with a massive 5000mAh battery with fast charging support and reverse charge.

On back of the phone, quad camera setup resides main sensor being a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor which is accompanied by 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front 16MP front camera lives inside a water drop shaped notch.  

Other key features of the phone includes a triple slot Sim tray which can house two SIM and a microSD simultaneously, ear-facing fingerprint sensor, runs on Android 9.0 with ColorOS 6.0.1 on top and comes in two color options marine green and space purple. The phone is priced at NPR. 35,990.

Another device launched is the Oppo A5 2020 which is the toned-down version of Oppo A9 2020

Oppo A5 2020 features the same 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD display  with the resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and powered by same Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor. This is where the similarities end. Oppo A5 2020 comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

A5 2020 also has quad camera on its back but the primary senosr is a 12MP camera which is accompanied by 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front a 8MP camera resides inside the notch of the display.

Oppo A5 also comes with a massive 5000mAh battery  with only reverse charge feature. Other key features includes stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos sound, rear-facing fingerprint sensor and runs on Android 9.0 with ColorOS 6.0 on top. The phone is priced at NPR. 27,990.
