Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) introduced the much-anticipated Toyota Hilux pick-up vehicle in India on Thursday. Toyota Hilux has been distributed in a number of international regions and is well-known for its tough build quality.
The company, however, has not yet revealed its price and has stated that it will do so in March, with deliveries expected to begin in April. Customers who are interested in pre-ordering the pick-up vehicle can do so by contacting their local Toyota dealership or by visiting Toyota Bharat's website.
The Toyota Hilux is powered by a 2.8-liter diesel engine with 204 horsepower. Hilux uses the same IVM platform as Innova and Fortuner. Moreover, In India, the only competitor is the Isuzu D-max V-Cross.
With a wider hexagonal chrome grille and swept-back LED headlights, it receives an entirely distinctive face. The front bumper is aggressively designed, with black contrasting inserts for the fog lights and a tough-looking skid plate.
The Hilux has soft-touch materials, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto compatibility, a push start/stop button, a JBL system, dual-zone auto air conditioning, and leather upholstery.
It comes standard with front parking sensors, cruise control, additional airbags, LSD, and an electrically adjustable driver's seat.
It will be covered by a three-year or one-lakh-kilometer guarantee. According to the company, this will be a whole new segment. It will be manufactured entirely in India by the firm at its own facilities.

Toyota on Wednesday launched the Urban Cruiser SUV in the Indian market. The company has announced that the deliveries of the new SUV will start from mid-October.
The Urban Cruiser has been launched in three variants - Mid-Grade, High-Grade and Premium-Grade.
The Urban Cruiser SUV comes out as the second installment under the Toyota-Suzuki alliance in India after the Glanza which is a rebadged Maruti Baleno. The Urban Cruiser is a spin-off of the Maruti Vitara Brezza and sports the same exterior design and styling.
Its color palette comprises 6 monotone color options - Blue, Brown, White, Orange, Silver, and Grey, and three dual-tone colors - Blue/Black, Brown/Black, and Orange/White.
The Urban Cruiser gets a new bold and dynamic grille, LED projector headlamp, and LED fog lamps. It rolls on diamond-cut 16-inch alloy wheels which look premium and lend it a sporty appeal. Some of its other highlights include a smart play-cast touchscreen, dual-tone premium interiors, rain-sensing wipers, automatic climate control (standard across all variants), cruise control, and an electrochromic rear view mirror.
The Urban Cruiser also gets features such as torque assist, regenerative braking, and an idle start/stop system.
It runs on a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol powertrain with an advanced Li-on battery featuring ISG (integrated starter generator).The motor is capable of producing 104bhp and 138Nm of power figures and is mated to either a five-speed manual or a four-speed torque-converter automatic transmission. Toyota Motor Corp and Suzuki Motor Corp (SMC) signed an agreement in 2018 for supplying hybrid and other vehicles to each other in the Indian market. Toyota had already sourced Baleno premium hatchback from Maruti Suzuki India, which is retailed as Glanza.
The price of Toyota Urban Cruiser starts at Rs. 8.88 Lakh and goes up to Rs. 11.58 Lakh.
The SUV will take on Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, and the Mahindra XUV300.

Considering the current situation, the company has launched the new Toyota Corolla Cross through digital platforms for the first time. The launch was aired live on the official Facebook and Instagram page of Toyota Nepal at 12 noon today.
Since its launch in Japan in 1966, the Corolla series has sold a cumulative total of 48 million units or more, in more than 150 countries and regions around the world; it is Toyota's best-selling car. Toyota vehicles are one of the most preferred Japanese vehicles in Nepal. This new SUV edition of the world-renowned Toyota nameplate Corolla is is produced in Thailand.
This vehicle is built in the 4-cylinder TGNA platform, which supports its advanced design, stability, and overall performance. This car has a CVT transmission that makes this SUV faster, produces low emission, and also makes this light vehicle. The Corolla Cross will get a 1.8-liter petrol engine that makes 140 hp and 175 Nm of torque. This engine drives the front wheels through a CVT. It measures 4,460mm long, 1,825mm wide, and 1,620mm high.
The front grill on the exterior of the car gives it an elegant look. The accent lines on the entire body of the car have made it sturdier and more distinct. Corolla Cross has one of the longest wheelbases which ensures stability at high speeds and a more comfortable ride. There is a large touchscreen jutting out of the dashboard, a digital gauge cluster, and the same air vents as the hatch. Toyota says the Corolla Cross offers ample interior space for up to five passengers and up to 487 liters of space with a puncture repair kit (440 liters with a temporary spare tire). The features list will include a multi-info instrument cluster display, dual-zone climate control with rear vents, drive mode selector, a nine-inch touchscreen head unit, T-Connect telematics, reclining rear seats, and a powered tailgate with hands-free access.
As for safety items, seven airbags come as standard and the Toyota Safety Sense suite is available on higher-end variants. The suite includes the Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Lane Tracing Assist, Automatic High Beam, Blind Spot Monitor, an around-view monitor, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
Currently, there are 2 variants of Toyota Corolla Cross available in Nepal.
The entry model is priced at Rs.11,650,000 and the high model is priced at Rs.13,800,000.
