Skoda Rapid offers premium features, excellent built quality, and powerful performance. While the design is polarizing, Skoda had launched the new Rapid TSI at an attractive introductory price of Rs. 36,90,000 in Nepal.

Skoda Rapid TSI Overview

Design

The 2020 Skoda Rapid remains identical to the previous model in terms of design and dimensions but has been styled to make it look a bit sportier. The Monte Carlo edition particularly gets new blackened elements like the 16-inch alloy wheels, gloss black finish, side skirts and black spoiler and a blacked-out grille.

The feature list includes LED headlamps, LED daytime running lamps (DRLs), as well as front and rear fog lights. Other design elements remain the same including the butterfly grille, large mesh-pattern air intakes on the bumper, and horizontal fog lamps. The top-end trims look even more sporty with the bright colour options including the red, blue and black, while there are also white, brown and silver paint options available.

Interior

The cabin also gets minor updates with a dual-tone brown and black finish, while the Onyx and Monte Carlo variants get a black and grey cabin. The feature list comprises a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with SmartLink tech on the mid variants while the top trims get a larger 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink. Other features include auto climate control, 12-volt power socket at the front and rear, and steering mounted phone and audio controls, automatic headlamps, auto-dimming IRVM, cruise control and lots more. There’s also a waste bin in the front door pockets like other Skoda models.

Engine

Skoda Rapid TSI is powered by a 1.0L 3-Cylinder, TSI Petrol engine. It can generate a max power of 110PS at 5000-5500rpm and max torque of 175Nm at 1750-4000rpm.

Moreover, it is mated a 6-speed manual transmission with an average 18.97kmpl mileage.

In every edition of Ford EcoSport, 2021 updates a range of features. This feature now comes with half the EcoSport variant line-up. The SUV now has an improved networking feature in the Titanium trim.

The 2021 Ford EcoSport is now equipped with a titanium trim sunroof, increased accessibility, lower operating costs, and an improved warranty for a sunroof in titanium rim. Half of this function now comes in the EcoSport variable line-up. Ford EcoSport has always been pleased with its enthusiastic driving characteristics but it may have started to appear slightly date with the new series of sub-compact SUVs. In order to deliver more value now, Ford has integrated existing features in each edition of EcoSport in order to offer prospective customers a more value-added offer.

The inclusion of the sunroof on the Titanium Trim is noteworthy among the changes. With that, half of the EcoSport variants now have the immensely popular feature. The company also notes that a range of updates will be received shortly in the Titanium+ edition. EcoSport includes features such as an automatic headlight, mirror, sunscreen, sensing lamps for rain, and a maximum of 6 airbags. The EcoSport has automatic headlights. The S variant gets an 8-inch touch screen that is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In addition, most versions get a 9" touchscreen infotainment header.

Changes in the exterior or interior design cannot be seen in the SUV substantially. It comes with up to six airbags, standard 8" touchscreen systems, and a 9" infotainment system in several variations that offer maximum safety for occupants. Furthermore, driver assistance features, such as automotive headlamps and electrochromic mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, etc.

The price of Ford Ecosport 1.5L Petrol Titanium M/T is Rs. 44,50,000 and Ecosport 1.5L Petrol Titanium + A/T is Rs 50,90,000.
