United Traders Syndicates, the sole authorized distributor for Toyota Vehicle has announced they will be launching a new A-SUV segment model – Raize in the market this December.

The new Raize is a compact SUV small passenger car that measures less than four meters in length. It caters to the desires of customers who want to drive an SUV, who want to load their cars with a lot of luggage, but who also wish to have a car that is compact and easy to drive.

Smaller than a compact-sized vehicle, the Raize is said to boast an incredible array of features such as 200mm of ground clearance, best in class minimum turning radius of 4.9m, 17 distinctive storage spaces and many more. The Raize's newly developed lightweight, highly rigid body and suspension contribute to outstanding handling stability and ride comfort.

By combining a 1.0-litre turbo engine with D-CVT―used in a Toyota vehicle for the first time―the car achieves the torque and driving joy of a 1.5-L engine, as well as outstanding fuel efficiency.

With the arrival of Raize in Nepal, it will mark the entry of A-SUV segment vehicles in Nepal. 

Toyota Raize will be available in 4 variants; 
-    1.2L Manual Transmission
-    1.2L CVT
-    1.0L Turbo Manual Transmission
-    1.0L Turbo CVT 

With no compromise on the safety aspect, the Raize will have SRS airbags, 4 Parking Sensors at the front and the rear, a Rear window defogger and more. 

The LED digital speedometer and seven-inch TFT color LCD display are seamlessly integrated, appearing to create a single screen with a cutting-edge feel. The customer can choose between four display styles: Advanced, Exciting, Simple, and Analog. 

Raize will be available in 8 colors (White, White Pearl, Black, Gray Metallic, Turquoise, Yellow, Red and Silver Metallic).

All the variants will be available with 3 cylinders, Inline, 12-valve DOHC with Dual VVT and despite its compact size, it will have ample seating space and storage space. 

The price is believed to start from Rs. 66 lakhs.

The new Raize is the first compact car produced by Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (Daihatsu) to incorporate its next-generation car making platform, DNGA, which anticipates product development for both Toyota and Daihatsu brands.

United Traders Syndicate Pvt. Ltd., the sole authorized distributor of Toyota vehicle have announced their partnership with Manang Marshyangdi Club as the main sponsor.

Through a press conference organised at Toyota Nepal’s head office, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to provide a total of NRs 20,00,000 to the club for a two-year sponsorship.

The press conference was hosted in the presence of the President of All Nepal Football Association Karma Tshering Sherpa and the President of United Traders Syndicate Pvt. Ltd. Suraj Vaidya, General Secretary of Manang Marshyangdi Club,  Tenzing Gurung, and Business Research Analyst of United Traders Syndicate, Suryansh Vaidya signed the agreement for partnership in the coming years.

Suryansh Vaidya of UTS said that "sponsorship would play a big role in signifying the importance of both the sports and automobile sectors as the largest enterprises in the country. They also highlighted that the government needs to show its interest and investment to build a better scope in both industries".

This is not the first time that both Toyota Nepal and MMC have come into a mutual understanding and certainly won’t be the last. The agreement is for the next two years, strengthening the partnership.
