CG Foods, Wai Wai products in Nepal
CG Foods is an ISO 9001:2008 certified company and formerly known as Nepal Thai Foods,CG Foods produces different fast foods like noodles, chips and cheese balls, few among many.
CG Foods was established in nepal for instant noodles production in Nepal in technical collaboration with Thai Preserved Food Factory, Thailand in 1984. Wai Wai manufactured the instant noodles with a capacity of 120 packets per minute in its early days whereas it manufactures 40000 tons per year.
It has also increased its product portfolio to Extruded Snacks, Potato Chips, Fried Snacks, Fruit Drinks, Chocolate Enrobed Wafer and Broken Noodles popularly known as Bhujiya. CG Foods has three manufacturing locations in Nepal which have been named as CG Food Pakk (CGFP) at Kathmandu, CG Industrial Park (CGIP) at Nawalparasi, 160 Kms south west of Kathmandu and CG Food Park at Bardiya, 345 Kms west from CGIP.
Wai Wai noodles have been launching different flavours of instant noodles ever since. Wai Wai brown instant noodles has 3 different flavours-Vegetable, Chicken and Tom Yum.
Wai Wai quick is a brown noodle available in 8 different flavours, namely, Chicken Curry, Chicken Pizza, Tom Yum Shrimp, Kimchi, Masala Curry, Chicken Schezwan, Vegetable Manchurian and Vegetable Pizza
Wai Wai 5 grains, a brown noodle availablein two ;Chicken and Vegetable flavours with a combination of- wheat, soyabean, corn, buckwheat and barley.
Wai Wai white noodles has produced 2 seasoning Aloo Tama to celebrate Nepalitaste in the modern household and to make aloo Tama taste popular in the young generation.
Ingridients of Wai Wai noodlesdiffer from variant to variant as per the different flavour. There are some common ingridients which is in every variant(wheat flour, palm oil, wheat gluten, salt, chilli pepper, garlic powder). The additional ingridients are given in the table below:-
