Dish Home Fiber Net in Nepal

Dish Home is the first and most renowned DTH service provider and they have already established themselves as the top player in the game.

They have been bringing state-of-the-art services and happiness to around 100,000 homes.

In recent years they identified Nepalis’ requirement of high-speed internet as one of the basic needs.

After receiving the authority from Nepal Telecom Authority to work as ISP, Dish Home Fibernet was launched in February 2020.

They are providing excellent internet service inside Kathmandu valley via FTTH technology.

Currently, there are two packages you can get in DH Fibernet service i.e. 25 Mbps and 40 Mbps.

These packages are available for monthly, tri-monthly, semi-annual, and annual subscriptions.

Currently, they are working to disperse the internet service through VSAT technology.

Dish Home will be the first ISP to provide VSAT technology if they are successful in this plan.

VSAT is a satellite-based communication system where the users will receive and send signal information from a satellite.

Nepal doesn’t have a satellite of its own for this purpose, so, Dish Home is using a satellite from an Israeli Satellite Company named ‘Spacecom’.

The estimated expense for this operation is expected to be around Rs 30 crores.

High Definition (HD) Packages:

Generally any video image with considerably more than 480 (North American standard) or 576 (European standard) vertical lines is considered HD. Images of standard resolution captured at rates faster than normal (60 fps in North America, 50 fps in Europe), by a high-speed camera are considered HD in some contexts.

There are four plans that fall under Dish Home’s HD Package:

> Super HD: 50 HD and 129 SD channels at Rs 500/month

> Super HD Plus: 55 HD and 136 SD channels at Rs 575/month

> Premium HD: 55 HD and 136 SD channels with 4 Multi TV at Rs. 600/month

> Lifestyle HD: 59 HD and 137 SD channels with 4 Multi TV at Rs 600/month

Standard Definition (SD) Packages:

Standard-definition television (SDTV or SD) is a television system which uses a resolution that's not considered to be either high definition television or enhanced-definition-television (EDTV).

You can get six plans under Dish Home’s SD Package:

> Basic : 9 HD and 116 SD channels at Rs 400/month

> Basic Plus: 14 HD and 123 SD channels at Rs 475/month

> Medium: 30 HD and 137 SD channels at Rs 450/month

> Medium Plus : 35 HD and 134 SD channels at Rs 525/month

> Deluxe: 22 HD and 125 SD channels at Rs with 3 Multi TV at 500/month

Dish Home GO

Dish Home GO by Dish Home, is an app that allows you to stream the movies and series you love on mobile devices.

This is an Over-The-Top application that delivers the channels directly on your smart phone, tablet and smart TV using the internet.

This app is exclusively available to use for all Dish Home DTH subscribers. There are currently 70 channels available to view on Dish Home Go.

Dish Home Cinemaghar

Subscribers of Dish Home have access to freshly released Nepali movies through PPV service called Cinemaghar.

There are 8 show times available, daily, for the users to purchase private telecast of the brand new Nepali movies.

You can order these viewings via sms according to the show time you prefer.

Dish Home makes this particular service available for their customers in partnership with Original Entertainment (P) Ltd.

Nepali film producers can release their movies in Cinemaghar without prejudice on revenue sharing basis.
