The deduction in taxes and duties on electric vehicles import has definitely opened up a huge platform in Nepali auto market.

Several automakers have already revised the prices of their brands of EVs. 

Recently launched Greatwall Motors’ electric car Ora R1, which has attracted a lot of attention as the cheapest electric car is also possibly entering the Nepali market. VG Impex under Vishal Group has already been selected as official distributor of Greatwall Motors in Nepal. VG Impex has been preparing for quite a while now to bring the cars produced by Greatwall. With the new budget effect, VG will most likely bring the R1 to Nepal. 

No official information has been provided about this by VG. However the price of Ora R1 in Nepal is speculated to be around Rs 20,00,000. This price will be the cheapest for electric cars in Nepal as well.
