Mahindra Unveils "The Scorpio-N SUV" For 2022

23rd May 2022
"Mahindra & Mahindra Limited has introduced the All-New 'Scorpio-N,' a much-anticipated SUV."

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited has introduced the All-New 'Scorpio-N,' a much-anticipated SUV. The new Scorpio, codenamed Z101, is based on a new body-on-frame platform and will be available in gasoline and diesel engines, as well as 4WD.

The new Scorpio-N will be available worldwide on June 27, while the current model will be known as the 'Scorpio Classic.' The new Scorpio-N branded the "Big Daddy of SUVs," will have larger dimensions than its predecessors.

The front fascia of the SUV has been updated, with a new grille, twin LED projector headlamps, and C-shaped fog lamps. The SUV is also only the second Mahindra vehicle to receive the new Mahindra logo, following the XUV700.

The Scorpio-N might be offered in two engine options: 2.0l petrol and a 2.2l diesel. Unlike its predecessor, the SUV is likely to come with a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission as well, alongside the six-speed manual transmission.

The SUV will be offered with a 4×4 option and several driving modes. However, the four-wheel drivetrain might be offered in the top-spec diesel variants only.

M&M Ltd's President, Automotive Division, Veejay Nakra, had the following to say about the vehicle: The Scorpio has been a landmark model for Mahindra, which has redefined the category and become an iconic brand in the Indian automobile industry.

The All-New Scorpio-N is expected to recreate benchmarks in the SUV segment in India yet again. With an unmissable design, thrilling performance, and high-end technology, we continue to carry forward the Mahindra legacy of building authentic, tough yet sophisticated SUVs.”
