Cimex BYD, BYD's sole authorized distributor in Nepal, is preparing to begin taking bookings for the BYD Atto 3 electric medium-sized SUV in Nepal. In 2022, the Atto 3 is one of the most anticipated electric cars.

After finding major success with the second-generation E6 (launched in 2021), BYD is set to introduce yet another electric vehicle–the Atto 3–in Nepal. The Atto 3 is available in two battery capacities on the global market: 50.1 kWh and 60.4 kWh.

However, Cimex Inc, the authorized distributor of BYD vehicles in Nepal, plans to produce an EV with a larger battery capacity and a range of 420 kilometers (WLTP).

Features:

The BYD ATTO 3 has 18-inch alloy wheels (215/55), Active safety assistance, a 12.8-inch rotatable infotainment system with DAB radio and Bluetooth, a 5-inch driver's digital instrument cluster, Qi wireless phone charging, and more.

Portable card key, keyless entrance and start Dirac sound system with eight speakers Powerchairs with six-way driver and four-way front passenger adjustments 60/40 folding rear seats, two ISOFIX child seat anchorage points (outside rear seats), Roof rails, power-folding, and heated wing mirrors, and multi-link rear suspension, among other features.

Battery and Performance

The Atto 3 will be equipped with BYD's Blade Battery, which has a capacity of 50.1 kWh and 60.4 kWh and can generate 200 horsepower and 310 Nm when combined with a PMSM.

The EV can be fully charged in around 45 minutes using an 80 kW fast charger, and it has a range of 420 kilometers on a single charge.

Dimensions:

The BYD Atto 3 is 4455mm in length, 1875mm in width, and 1615mm in height. The five-seater crossover has a 2720mm wheelbase and a 175mm ground clearance.

BYD's e-platform 3.0 is used for the first time in the Atto 3. According to BYD, the e-platform 3.0 improves EV safety and battery performance as well as optimizes the driving experience.

BYD Atto 3 Price in Nepal

Although there is no official announcement on pricing, BYD enthusiasts can expect the electric vehicle to cost approximately Rs 60-65 lakh in Nepal.

Cimex, Nepal's authorized BYD dealer, has been supplying electric vehicles and promoting e-mobility in Nepal through different consumer and public initiatives.

The company offers a varied selection of electric vehicles, such as electric cars, vans, buses, and other vehicles, with the goal of spearheading a green revolution in the Nepalese automobile sector.

BYD e6:

The BYD e6 is an all-electric crossover SUV with plenty of interior room and other amenities.

The BYD e6 is one of the safest electric vehicles on the market, featuring six airbags and a UL-certified Lithium Iron Phosphate battery. The e6 has a range of 400 kilometers on a single charge, according to the firm (WLTC cycle).

The e6 has 450 Nm of torque, 121 hp of maximum power, regenerative braking, cruise control, hill-hold assist, ABS with EBD, bi-directional charging and discharging, and an 80 percent charging time of 45 minutes with the fast charger, among other features.

The BYD e6 has a length of 4,560mm, a width of 1,822mm, and a height of 1,630mm. It features a 2,830mm wheelbase and a 155mm ground clearance. The new e6 has a 11.4m minimum turning radius. The kerb weight of the car is 2,420 kg. The load capacity of the new e6 is 450 litres. The max speed is 140 kilometers per hour.

New BYD e6:

The new BYD e6 has a redesigned exterior, an enhanced interior, a new infotainment system, a new blade battery, and a large boot.

The new BYD e6, which comes in two models, is fitted with a Blade Battery, a first-of-its-kind battery developed by BYD. The 71.7 kWh battery charges in 1 hour 30 minutes (with a fast charger) and can travel 520 kilometers on a single charge (WLTC cycle).

BYD M3 (5-seater and 7-seater):

Both 5-seater and 7-seater versions of the BYD M3 MPV are available.

This MPV has a 310 km driving range on a single charge, thanks to BYD's proprietary NCM battery with a capacity of 50.3kWh (WLTP cycle). Using 4000 cycles, the battery lasts 20 years and takes 1.5 hours to fully charge with a fast charger.

Automatic headlights with a "follow me home" function, front and rear fog lights, radio with AUX and USB port, automatic A/C, dual airbags, seatbelt reminder, anti-theft system, ABS with EBD, electric power steering, and 16-inch aluminum alloy wheels, among other features, are among the BYD M3's highlights.

The BYD M3 has a length of 4,460mm, a width of 1,720mm, and a height of 1,875mm. It features a 2,725mm wheelbase and a 180mm ground clearance. Similarly, the minimum turning radius is 5.75m. The kerb weight of the car is between 1,740 and 1,780 kg. The cargo volume of the 5-seater form is 1500 litres, while the trunk capacity of the 7-seater variant is 300 litres.

BYD T3 (2-seater van):

The BYD T3 is a two-seater all-electric delivery vehicle designed for transportation and logistics.

 

The 50.3 kWh battery has a maximum torque of 180 Nm and 134 horsepower. According to GB/T 1 specifications, the BYD T3 has a top speed of 100 km/h and a maximum range of 310 km. Guobiao standards, often known as GB standards, are Chinese national standards published by the Standardization Administration of China (SAC), the Chinese National Committee of the ISO, and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).

The BYD T3 has a length of 4,460mm, a width of 1,720mm, and a height of 1,875mm. It had a 2,725mm wheelbase and a kerb weight of 2,420kg. Similarly, the minimum turning radius is less than 5.75 meters. Its payload capacity is 3,500 litres.

Performance
