Washing Machine Capacity
The capacity of the washing machine is measured in kilograms that are directly linked with the weight of clothes you plan to wash. If you have a larger family and wash the clothes once or twice a week then go after a large capacity washing machine. But if you plan on washing the clothes in a portion in a few days interval then you can also go after a medium or even small-capacity washing machine. The only problem will be that it will take more time to do all the laundry.
Type
Washing machines mainly are of two types semi-automatic washing machines which require a lot of human intervention and fully-automatic washing machines which is totally automated and you just have to put clothes for wash and take them out once they are done. Moreover, there are top-loading and front-loading automatic washing machines which differ from each other due to the positioning of the tubes for washing and drying. If you are tight on budget then go after semi-automatic washing machines where you will have to manually take the clothes out from the washing tube and put them into the dryer tube. And, in the case of automatic washing machines, front-loading washing machines are the most expensive that comes with a number of washing programs. Nonetheless, top-loading washing machines are also quite good as they offer decent wash programs at a smaller budget.
The material of Drum/Tub
The drum or Tub of a washing machine is simply the drum where you wash all the clothes and dry them. Being a major part of the washing machine, the buyer must not forget to examine its material. The drum, generally, is made up of stainless steel, plastic, or porcelain-enamel. Plastic tubs last longer than the enamel tubs as they rust pretty fast. Nonetheless, the tubs made up of stainless steel are the best.
Wash Settings
Wash settings are the wash programs that are available in the washing machines. Generally, the top-loading washing machines come with varieties of wash programs. From gentle wash for frail clothes to synthetic wash for cotton clothes, there are a variety of programs that vary in the amount of drum rotation and temperature. If you have such wash program alternatives, you can set the program as per the clothes you wash and can also save your favorite settings.
Spin Cycle
The spin cycle is determined by the revolution per minute that is used for drying your clothes. The higher the spin cycle or revolution per minute, the better the cloth dries. The spin cycle, however, differs among the clothes. For frail clothes, the spin cycle can be 300-500 rpm whereas for thicker clothes like jeans 1000 rpm will be the best.
Temperature control
It's difficult to wash the clothes at the same temperature throughout the year, especially during the winter. With a temperature control feature on your washing machine, you can control the temperature of the water in your washing machine. Besides, we all know that clothes are easier to clean with hot water rather than cold water.
